I got this game yesterday and just played through it. I love the gameplay loop and found it very enjoyable. I like there are different kinds of ants we can earn with different roles and fill different niches. Things I would like to see: - Better defined niches with more traits between the ants. I think some of the kinds have overlap I struggle to really tell the difference between Body guard and defender. - More colony types. It would be really cool to see different colony types supported. Bees, termites, Army ants, leaf cutter ants, fire ants, trap jaw ants that all offer different approaches with their pros and cons would be amazing. And think it would do a lot for filling out card system. - Enemies. I think the current enemies are neat, but they do still fill very basic like they are just waiting to lose. I’d like to see enemies have types also and compete for our resources. So we need to better manage the type of ants we put out and be wary of certain insect bases. I’d also like to see “world boss” or world obstacle type things. I think it could be neat to see spider webs to need to commit resourses into breaking. A river that creates a choke point for interesting areas. Or ant lions you need to draw out of their pits so they stop killing off your scouts. - Colony building. The current building system is okay. But it never felt like how I approached it really matters. The random stone walls didn’t ever really change much. It would be nice if we had an ant unit supermajor type meant for walling foes in certain points so things like beetles don’t just walk by a horde out speeding your attackers and rushing the queen. Absolutely have had a wonderful time and Im excited to follow the future of this game. -- AngelMischïef, 2025-01-24 ### ***** "Commitment" I love this gave recently finished Tundra and loved every second! You do have to invest your time into this game each map took me 1-2 hours to complete but only because I love organizing the inside of the colony and maxing out my ants but you don’t have to do all that in all honesty if you just focus on getting 30-40 defenders right away and than 20-30 attackers and can maintain them you basically finished the map I used to think the cartographer was useless but it’s the best at exploring the map. upgrading your deck does take a while but if you watch the optional ads and replay levels you’ll max out everything with no problem. I have some ideas on some cool features and ants you could introduce. The flytrap: The flytrap would be a food that would kill ants but yield lots of food. There could also be a pitcher plant. which will produce food but trap ants near it Ants: You could add different types of ants. You could add leafcutter ants, which would be loaders but can carry more and damage more, along with building leaf structures, but have less health and have to have their own leaf structures. You could also add exploding ants, which exist, and they would charge at attackers and blow up, dealing damage to friendly and enemy troops. The third suggestion is to maybe make it so you can buy no ads, because i’d like to support the game without making the game easier by buying a pack, The fourth and final suggestion is to add a sandbox mode where you can spawn a bunch of enemies or ants and spawn food, because it may bring a few other people who like sandbox games to this game. Also needs a way to move/direct ants manually. You can’t move the queen from her spot if you try to move your nest, meaning you can’t put your queen in a safer location or even move it from the starting position for it. It won’t even let you destroy the final nest tile it’s sitting on.
