I love that I can import new recipes, and also add the ingredients directly into my shopping list. Love it!
AnyList is the best grocery list app that I have ever used and I have tried scores of them. The developers do a great job keeping it up to date.
This app literally changed my life! I’ve been using it for over a year now and I can honestly say I will be using it for the rest of my life. As someone who cooks a new recipe almost every single night, I cannot recommend this app enough! Being able to import recipes from multiple sources and compile them into one interface that can be broken down into personalized categories is SO CONVENIENT! Not to mention the grocery list capabilities, seriously in love with this app. Plus it’s only $10 a year, so it’s totally affordable and worth every single penny!!
I was incredibly worried about the impending Alexa List API shutoff apocalypse. My family and I have spent a lot of years building the muscle memory to quickly add items to the Alexa shopping list and using AnyList as the interface to that list because it’s awesome. So the API shutoff and Alexa skill update has now happened and the result is WAY better than I was expecting. The phrasing to quickly add items to the list changed from “Alexa add beans” to “AlexaTellAnyList to add beans”. Not too bad. Also with the updated AnyList Alexa skill you can say “Alex launch AnyList” and you can add multiple items easily without any further wake word prompts. I’ve run production releases for an online business application for over twenty five years and have been through many similar cutovers of service integrations and user interface changes. The developers for AnyList really did a great job with the quality of the release and the communication of the changes. They far exceeded my expectations of what I thought was going to be a garbage fire of a cutover!
I almost never use the “paid for” version of any app, but this one is different. You can instantly import a recipe from almost anywhere on the web, use those recipes to create grocery lists, meal plans, as well as create a grocery order from your local store! If I’m at the store & need to know which ingredients are in a favorite recipe, it’s in my phone. I also use it for “to do” lists, vacation packing lists, etc. Up until yesterday, I could tell my Amazon Echo devices to add items to my grocery list (Amazon needs to bring this back IMMEDIATELY!!!). Hopefully a fix to this issue is on the way. I LOVE this app❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been using this app for years and recommend it to others because it is so useful. Especially if you use Alexa. I don’t have to stop whatever it is I’m doing to add something to my list. I don’t even need to take my phone out of my pocket when I’m at the store because my list is on my watch. Definitely one of the most useful apps on my phone. ❤️❤️❤️
This app single handedly managed every issue I was experiencing when planning for anything in my household! Use it!
I started out with the free version just to have the shopping list. Then I took a leap of faith and paid the fee for the app. It’s the best thing I ever did. It is perfect in every way what’s even better is the meal planning and the fact that you have all of these on your phone your tablet or your computer so you have your recipes ingredients and your shopping list with wherever you go
I have been using AnyList for at least five years and it very quickly became a part of my daily life. I have innumerable lists that have made life much easier with my busy schedule. That said, I think the best part of this app is the recipe function. I can bring recipes from the web directly into AnyList, with a very high degree of accuracy, most of the time 100%. I use the meal planning function all the time, and from planned dishes, I create a shopping list by simply tapping on the ingredients I need to purchase. When it comes time to cook, the recipes I want to make at the time are in one place on today’s date. I also have planned meals show up in my Google Calendar automatically. I also also use the recipe “Collections” function, which makes it easy for me to find recipes and plan meals. My two sisters and several of my friends also have the app, so we send each other recipe files that are installed from an email directly into the app without having to do any typing. If you are a busy person, this app is wonderful. If you are also a chef or wannabe chef, this app is essential. Without question, it’s the best $10 per year that I spend on apps.
Thank you so much to whoever developed this app! It is user friendly and does everything perfectly and more!!!
