I closed my accounts in early October when the bonus interest change happened, and I just received closing statement for someone else’s account. Fortunately, the document is secured by DoB, but it’s not a good look, especially as my reporting of this took several days to acknowledge & even then just responded “Thanks for your complaint!” -- Glad I closed my accounts, 2024-11-29 ### *---- "Too clever by half" ANZ Plus is not pleasant. Direct interface with ANZ, can only be used with the app and then on only one device. And then there are the hoops to jump through to get maximum interest. Worst of all is the restriction that if your closing balance at the end of the month is lower than at the beginning of the month, you lose the bonus interest. That can be quite a penalty if for some reason you need to make a withdrawal. Go elsewhere. -- Dan, Waramanga, 2024-11-28 ### **--- "Missing basic functionality" The app is quite clean and relatively functional, but coming from other banking apps its frankly missing some quite basic functionality. For example if you like to manually pay rent or bills there is no way to save a message or see recent messages so you have to type one out every time. This is made worse by the fact that on the payment history you cannot copy anything to text. Its all not selectable. Ive talked to them about this and the response was “setup an automatic payment”. Which is such a garbage response for the most basic ability to copy and paste a previous payment message… Even worse there is a dedicated “pay again” button which should be great! Except it doesn’t copy the previous message, just takes you directly to the normal payment page. Frankly disappointing and every other banking app saves your recent payment messages. Instead I have to screenshot my last payment and highlight the text in the screenshot to copy paste the message. I would honestly give a much higher rating if this worked, because its the only major annoyance for me. The app has all the other standard stuff like categorisation and generally it works okay, theres at least basic support for most expected functionality. Just not this one and thats very frustrating. So if you like to just set and forget your reoccurring payments then this info probably isn’t relevant and its at least 4 stars.
