Concepts Reviews

This app is amazing for amateurs and pros

I cannot recommend this enough if you are a pro or you are an amateur

Overall great

Kath.y<3 on

Overall the app is great especially as someone who works well studying their degree with mind mapping. The only complaint I really have is that for those who can only afford the free version they could really add in the lasso tool as a basic tool. The paid version is great and I have no complaint but I remember when I first got it as a student the fact that everytime I wanted to move a topic on my mind map and had to rub it out was really irritating, there’s a reason why a lot of people rather take notes on tablets than paper and it’s cause if the efficiency.

Great, aside from the issue left unfixed for 3 years.

BishopFirth on

United Kingdom

Genuinely a good app, I’m very impressed and have had my expectations exceeded. However, the Fixed Width brush does not have a fixed width. Drawing a long line will make the starting end of the line thinner, turning a corner will make the corners thinner, no amount of changing setting fixes this. I looked online to see if there was a quick fix or if this was a new issue, only to find posts from over 3 years ago complaining of the same issue, with replies from the devs claiming they were “working on it”. The fact that this known issue has not been fixed on over 3 years is incredibly disappointing and deeply frustrating, the developers allowing a problem to persist for so long is indicative of their lack of care for both the app and its users. If you are looking for something basic, with no need for precision in your work, then this app is excellent. Otherwise, I advise looking elsewhere. If the issue of the Fixed Width brush is resolved, I will edit this review to reflect that change.

Subscription issues

If I buy the subscription on my iphone, could I get it on other devices signed into my apple ID?

Amazing app

Lest on

Amazing app for drawing, infinite canvas is nice, tools work, I love the colour wheel, but the free version is a little limited, I would appreciate some more templates in the free version especially those for circles or triangles, also infinite layers would be nice, otherwise, great app.

The GOAT app for project idea note-taking

ghostsinthemachine on

United Kingdom

This app is the GOAT. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I just tried to find the edge… I couldn’t find it… maybe I’m Truman in his dome, but for now I’m happy with my reality. Incredibly intuitive. Layers and canvas navigation work great. They even provide you with coordinates in case you get lost lol. I’ve been working with moving images around a lot, that required some minor configuration to work well (I turned draw/write to Pencil only and then chose ‘select’ for single finger taps). It always seemed obvious to me that the biggest advantage of digital note taking would be to not be limited by paper size, however many major players in the digital note taking app space don’t seem to offer infinite canvas, so I came here to not have confines on my projects and I thoroughly love it.

The best game/app

This game Is so nice and fun! I play this 24/7. I would give this game a 5/5 or even 8000/5! This game should be the number 1 popular game!! ❤︎︎★❤︎︎★❦❣︎🝮✫✧✫彡★✬𖤐༻☙꡴❧⁂♕♕♕♕𓀿𐦂✿𖧷✿༇☹︎៙༒✞✾𓃟𖣘☘︎︎♒︎𓂻𓃱𓀿𓅿★✯𖥟␈⚢𓁹࿌🜲🜲࿌𖨆㋛𖤍𐫱✜𖤞𖢻𖢻⟱𐬿𐬻𖧞⇧⌗⭅𖦷𖧵𖥟◷シ㋡

Wow!

Rexel65 on

Ok, let’s try and do this excellent piece of software justice. First, Iam a maintenance engineer. In a nutshell iam in charge of schedules, new builds & installations be it machinery pipeline & even installing 2 extra toilet cubicles. I use this software for just that! It is fantastic I can use it like M$ visio , I can use the CAD part to lay out new circuits. I use it to take notes and sketch (doodle when the PD drones on) It really is a complete package . Pricing, I couldn’t be happier. It does a great job,I wonder how I managed without it. I use it daily and love using it. For me Concepts was truly a game changer for my work and even my home life. I have no problem at all in recommending this all in one fantastic app.

Unlike some apps the developers listen and respond

Bifojeez on

I’ve been using concepts for quite a few years. I also use procreate but for project ideas and sketching it’s concepts every time. It has gradually improved over the years. The infinite option allows all the room you could ever need. The nudge tool is invaluable. I find it can handle both artistic and technical drawings which most art apps can’t do. I have asked for tech help on many occasions and i get a response within 24 hours every time. It either suits you or it doesn’t. If you have issues maybe it’s not for you?

Infinite canvas = infinitely helpful

Zyrdsggrx on

My only dislike is the selection tool, which I also can’t buy separate from all the expensive packs.. Otherwise, overwhelmingly useful, thank you for making 75% of it all free!
