Not working
This app will not process payment in Australia and asking for China id to confirm. What a waste of time .
Poor experience for use outside of China
The tour card is non functional and online transactions get declined forcing you to appeal each and every purchase.
Terrible
The passport photo verification process is horrible with little to no instructions.
Scan feature to pay is always down.
Pay/Receive QR code is fine, but the scan function doesn’t work. Quite embarrassing at the shop when this happens and so have to use WeChat instead. Please fix this asap. Put so many feedback through the app already but not resolved for over a week.
Tour Card
It’s great that shop owners can scan my QR Code. How about the update that I can scan barcodes and pay for goods like regular Alipay users. China wants more tourists, we need to be able to scan and pay shop owners or use vending machines.
Only in China
You need this to survive in China but I’d take a weekly kick in the fork before I saw it rolled out in my home country. I understand it’s probably Chinese rules hamstringing them but the systems work poorly and leave you frustrated and angry.
Can’t use overseas credit cards
It’s useless without a Chinese bank card or account
Forced Installation
Why do you force people to install this app to see their account balance on PC???
Too many ads
Everything you do in this app will have ads. Someone scans a payment from your QR and then you’ll see an ad on the payment successful page. Pay your electricity and you’ll get an ad. Pay medical services and you’ll get ads. Open the menu at any restaurant and you’ll get a ads. Order food delivery in this app and you’ll get dozens of ads throughout your transaction. Even if you don’t use the app you’ll still get multiple notification ads every day. This app is completely full of ads and it really ruins the experience of using this otherwise revolution payment service and mini-app ecosystem.
