Very iffy
Game is not playable. It will download, and the app will launch, but after reaching the very first loading screen (BEFORE seeing the main menu), it shows an error message saying "failed to update static version", and the only interaction available is to press the red "Retry" button. Pressing the button simply immediately opens the same error screen with no changes. I found no solutions online. Have already thoroughly removed the app and reinstalled. This changed nothing. Have also rebooted phone entirely and ensured I had the latest updates to my device. I would be HAPPY to change my review to five stars again if this could be fixed, but this app is 100% unplayable at the moment. Can the developers please respond with a solution? I'd be more than willing to share information to work this out together. I played this game years ago and it's one of my favorite apps. Would love to play again. Thank you so much.
Love the game, bought all DLCs, recent update removes Apple sign-in option and has removed my access to those DLCs. It’s a fun game but if I could get my money back I would.
I am leaving my original review from years ago below to express the depth of how this game has fallen in my mind. What was originally a beautiful refinement of an already amazing concept has become trashed over time. A truly great loss. This game is clearly inspired by Dream Quest, but it is not a simple carbon copy. Featuring voice acting, excellent art work, and its own twist on certain mechanics this game clearly stands on its own two feet in spite of it seeming to borrow most of the mechanics for battles, cards, enemies, etc from that other wonderful game. Still, it comes together in a new flavor which really is its own game.
I liked the game on Steam… however the app I have tried for over a week to load into and it will not do the in app update… tried uninstalling, tried data, WiFi, you name it. It just won’t work
This is such a good game but just so buggy and needs significant work to improve its translations. This would be a 5-star review if the game would actually start up without WiFi. Yes you heard me, the game will not start up when you are offline or on cell data only. You MUST be on WiFi to play this game, and it makes no sense.
It suddenly started giving me an error and I can’t play anymore. I bought all the dlc and then it broke.
I’ve played before and it was good, but you can’t even get to the main menu anymore
Unnecessary online requirement, what part of this game requires constant online access? I personally don’t see any. Otherwise, good game with simple, yet addicting gameplay.
I have always come back to this game across every device I have owned, I even got my husband sucked into it as well.
