Description
有名な長篠・設楽原の戦いから440年あまり、今も新城市ではお盆に、戦で亡くなった両軍の兵士の魂をしずめるため「火おんどり」が竹広地区で行われています。この話はその戦の中、奥平軍の若き侍、鈴木金七郎と鳥居強右衛門の二人が、武田軍に包囲された長篠城から命がけで城を抜け出し岡崎の徳川家康の元へ援軍の要請に向かう物語です。とはいえ、武将の勇猛さをたたえる物語ではなく、戦争のむなしさ、平和の大切さを二人の生き方を通して子ども達にすこしでも考えていただけるように作りました。戦国時代を生き抜いた鈴木金七郎とその時代に興味と愛着を持っていただけるお話です。
