市定古蹟摘星山莊興建於1871年，為參與平定太平天國之亂和戴潮春事件的清代二品將軍，林其中先生所創建之莊園，是全臺首屈一指的「豪宅」，百多年來享有「無處不書、無處不雕、無處不畫」的曠世美譽。
