ภาษาถิ่นอีสาน เป็นภาษาที่มีความสวยงาม เป็นเอกลักษณ์ และความน่าสนใจ ทั้งยังเป็นสิ่งที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงวิถีชีวิตและเล่าเรื่องราวในอดีตมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน ภาษาอีสานหลายคำค่อย ๆ หายไปตามยุคสมัยจนหาฟังได้ยาก เหลือเพียงแค่คำศัพท์ที่ใช้กันบ่อย ๆ อยู่แค่ไม่กี่คำ เว้นแต่ว่าจะได้สนทนากับคนเฒ่าคนแก่จึงจะได้ยินคำเก่า ๆ เหล่านั้น ทีมงานอีสานร้อยแปดจึงได้พัฒนาเว็บแอพพลิเคชันพจนานุกรมภาษาอีสานนี้ขึ้นมาเพื่อเป็นแหล่งรวบรวมข้อมูลคำศัพท์ภาษาอีสาน เพื่อให้ผู้ที่ต้องการศึกษาภาษาอีสานสามารถค้นหาข้อมูลได้ง่ายขึ้น และยังเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ภาษาอีสานให้กับคนรุ่นใหม่และผู้ที่สนใจภาษาอีสาน สุดท้ายนี้ทีมงานอีสานร้อยแปดขอเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่จะรักษาและเผยแพร่ภาษาอีสานให้เป็นที่รู้จักและอยู่คู่พี่น้องชาวอีสานตลอดไป
