This app is really good! However…
Theres some issues that come whenever you do an asian language; i.e. Japanese, Chinese where the kanji/kana/characters will be picked up completely fine, but when you continue on from it, it changes definition entirely. and there are some kanji that get mistaken for others. I love it still but that definitely needs to be worked out
Difficult to connect to apps
I cannot connect to apps like Evernote. Very disappointed.
Better than Scribble
I actually have space to write compared to Scribble. Also lone tie "it might be this word, were not sure" function. Weird handwriting isn't discriminated, and it also gives the app a chance to learn how you write. Would like to see Windows Ink gestures added in, mostly the word tie gesture.
Other than that- the only bugs that need fixing are some UI placement, capitalization continuity, and enabling high resolution strokes (not sure why it's disabled).
Almost there
For English, it won't allow for full resolution for the writing on the iPad. Otherwise, it is pretty awesome.
Finally! MyScript engine is THE best!
I took notes for years with the MyScript Stylus Keyboard on my iPad, but after numerous changes, it no longer works. THIS works even better than that, thank you so much! This app triples my productivity by helping me jot down quick notes or long ones & keep them with me. The handwriting to text conversion is nearly seamless!
Soooo Frustrating!!!
I brought this app because Scribble won’t write uppercase letters (what’s up with that Apple?)
The first issue was having to do all my writing in that box across the bottom. I do most of my work in landscape and I lose a third of the screen. Having to manually press the space button to clear the box to start the next line of text is also annoying and awkward and, cumulatively, a productivity drain.
What I can’t tolerate though, is the editing. The “clear” button is a nightmare. I can’t get the delete button when I need it. When I type an entry, I don’t know for sure where it will end up or what will be entered (yes, I was careful to put the cursor in the right place.)
Yes, it fixes one problem, but creates several others.
If I missed the instruction manual, point me in the right direction. If not, this was a bust. Refund?
Best handwriting around
Much attention to detail and designed for high usage. Keep the innovations coming!
The Best I've Found - Superior
This is, without equivocation, the best handwriting keyboard I have found.
I Prefer handwriting rather than trying to tap the correct keys on my iPhone. In that way I can watch what I'm writing rather than watching the keyboard. I can watch my ideas appear on the page just as they do on paper.
Other apps I've tried that attempt to do the same thing always fall short. Although I have attempted to work around their shortcomings I found myself continually wanting something better. This app has addressed every shortcoming and more.
1. Character recognition is far superior.
2. Numbers are easily recognized .
3. It has its own number pad if needed.
4. When I get sloppy and write a capital letter, as I sometimes to, I have the option of making the word all lower case with a tap.
5. If I run out of space with a long word I can make more room on the entry space with a tap.
6. Before I commit a word to my document it shows in the entry space for fast verification.
7. The split entry space allows me to write very fast with maximum accuracy.
There is much more. It takes using the app to discover its advantages. The developer has thought of everything and has applied A great deal of coding skill to produce a superior application.
Better but still needs to flow
The app has gotten way better but it still does not flow in sentence writing like apps in the past like Stylus did. Updating this review because you can adjust the Auto Enter settings to have your set fence recognize and convert but what I would like is a right most shaded area in the text entry field that when you write into that it line wraps, converting the first part of the line and then giving you a blank line entry. notability and other apps do this with zoomed in note taking.
