The game is very fun and chill, but you need to watch ads to gain talents from the shop or fight bosses. Most of the time when that happens the game glitches out and shrinks the screen so you can’t play and need to rewatch the ad. I’ve just watched 6 ads with NO benefit.
The game is great - very similar to Slay the Spire. However, everytime there is an ad (especially on the boss stage) it glitches the screen and half the screen goes black and the other half is magnified. I always have to force quit the app and start again - very annoying
If you like Slay the Spire you’ll love this one, buy any of the dlc and turn ads off/on at will. Good replay value/variety. Besides a few minor bugs the game needs to be optimised for newer devices and larger screens then easy 5/5 👍
Great game, needs more recognition
I’m enjoying this game so far, but it’s held back by a some clunkiness and unexplained shenanigans. It needs to explain the details of certain status effects more- if I hadn’t played STS, how am I supposed to know that I can get rid of plate armor by doing unblocked damage? Why does the Reflect status condition from Albert’s talent instantly get removed at the start of battle? And the ‘conversation’ UI is… minimal. The core gameplay loop is great, but it definitely needs a bit of polish.
Worth the time
Overall it’s a great card rogue like game. If you have played card game like slay the spire previously, this game is an improved version with more heroes and skills. I quite like the idea of having up to three heroes in a run, so far I’ve only been picking the safe build, dps+tank+support. Story line is a bit weak though, also it’s a bit too easy comparing with other card games, not much pause and think required even during elite or boss fight. Would be a 5 star if there is more interesting game content we haven’t seen before in other card games.
…… it had iPad aspect ratio.
