《花园建造师》是以为空间管理、塔防、roguelike机制为核心玩法的Q版风格轻度策略游戏，玩法是玩家通过守卫营地击杀敌人升级roguelike获取炮塔，再通过合理的摆放结构提升战斗力，让自己的守卫道路越走越宽，不断镇守住敌人的进攻，然后继续升级选卡强化自身，最终抵御大boss敌人的进攻从而闯关成功，随后玩家可以在局外获得并强化自己的炮塔、装备、角色等等，通过自己的策略、技巧，加上那么一点点的运气，不断挑战并通过更多关卡！
