Poor System. Not friendly for Malaysia user.
Lousy handling customer issue. Customer service passing to Escalation team, then escalation team pass back the ball to customer service. Poor system. Old fashioned customer service and escalation team. As an end user, no choice to accept under refund schemes. I’m a Malaysia user, while payment through my credit card, so fast system approved. When go into parcel not delivered and request for refund payment, said the escalation team cannot link to Taobao, and calling Taobao customer service, they talk another thing. A small claim delayed until months. Response very slow. No way to expedite. My payment listed so clear in Tao Bao but the Tao Bao leave a third party who not clear about every single details of payment to handle the end user. Most fascinating part is when they ask to screenshots at chat, Tao Bao chat cos not have this function. Only customer service got. But customer service and escalation team not communicated. Wasting my time. Tao Bao, when get payment very fast. When something went wrong, to get back your money, they come a lot of patterns. This is Tao Bao
english version is not functioning.. all in chinese
The entire app is in Chinese. How can non-Chinese speakers use it? I’m extremely disappointed. If you're planning to expand into international markets, you must ensure that an English version is available.

Fake Item Received, No Support from Taobao Very Disappointed
I purchased a down jacket from Taobao, specifically a Boneless branded item, as advertised by the seller. However, what I received was a completely unbranded jacket that was far from what I had ordered. The seller blatantly misrepresented the product, and when I tried to resolve the issue through Taobao’s customer service, I was left disappointed. Taobao didn’t provide any meaningful help or compensation, leaving me stuck with a fake product. This experience has seriously made me question the platform’s oversight and customer protection policies. If Taobao doesn’t hold sellers accountable for misleading buyers, it makes it hard to trust shopping on this platform.
