《史记》一开始称为《太史公书》，由西汉史官(太史公)司马迁编写的历史书籍。记载了自黄帝至汉武帝太初年间共三千多年的历史。全书包括本纪 12 卷、世家 30 卷、列传 70 卷、表 10 卷、书 8 卷，共 130 篇(卷)，52 万 6500 余字。
