I quite like the books app but recently I’ve noticed that the books I read stopped syncing the page im on between my devices. Seems I have to pay to increase my iCloud storage for a basic feature. Instead I just buy from the Kindle store now and don’t have to worry about it.

I only just joined this app, but so far it’s really good. The only thing that I don’t really like is the buying of books. Sure, the more expensive the better, but there are some books I have been looking at the prices are really huge. I have a strict spending budget for each app I use and some books are way over budget. Apart form that I would say this (so far) is the best reading app I have ever used. I would recommend it to people who like a good book. What is also really good is if you have a hard time concentrating is that you can by the audio book version, and it comes with a reasonable price, maybe about double the budget. So in conclusion, I didn’t like the price that much (they are okay), and I am happy they have an audio book version. I would recommend this app to anyone who likes a good book

Each update seems to remove a previous function. When you add a Note it places an icon above the first word of the highlighted passage, obstructing the word. It was previously placed in the margin to the right, out of the way.
You used to be able to bookmark a page with ease. Now it takes more steps.
You used to be able to email  all of your Notes to yourself. 
There have been many changes since I first started using iBooks. I don’t know why many of them have been necessary. 
I wish Apps in general would stop updating for the sake of updating. If you’re onto a good thing stick to it.

This app wont play an audiobook i just purchased from the Apple Store.  And there's no way to reach the app's tech support to inform them of this ptoblem.  
Hence the app gets 1 star for being useless and backed by a deaf organisation.

I rely on highlighting text, but unfortunately they get corrupted pretty easily. The highlights shift up or down on their own, covering the wrong text or even just white space where there are no words at all. This has happened for years with different books, to the point that I now need to give up on this app.

Apple Books could be an amazing app to use to study or just leisurely read. But there are some designs I’m not really enjoying. Like why do we have to purchase something every time we wanna try a new book. Also I would be amazing if they made the samples longer, I think browsing the overall book gives me more reason to maybe purchase it. But the only thing is, sometimes people are away on overseas trips or don’t know the WiFi code. Every time I want to use this great app it always seems to rely on the internet too much. Please consider giving a update where they change all this things and maybe change the backgrounds. Also maybe consider adding more books to this variety. I often want to read some books that aren’t always so popular. Despite all the things I said, Apple Books is a pretty great app to have on any device ( laptop, phone, iPad, etc) it has so much intellect and will be a change in the way we read things for sure.

I love the app for the audiobooks when I’m working, but I’d like it if it was easier to find all the horror books. I don’t want to go searching through fiction to try an find a name I recognise. I can’t even type in the word horror in the search bar as it shows your average ghost stories. I’d really appreciate if horror had its own tab much like how romance has its own tab or sci fi and fantasy. Just give us horror lovers that so we’re not needing to scratch our heads trying to find what we prefer
