It’s a very basic application and it would be nice if the flash card option worked, but even though I made lots of highlights, the show study cards is disabled … if they could be exported at least. I will really use this app when I have to.
After updating to iOS 16 I can’t highlight material on the book with my finger ,I should select and then chose highlight or notes or something else Who are that stupid that implemented this ???

I’ve been using this app for the last 4-5 years as my only source of ebook reading. It works - I see text, I can read a book and I can even highlight text and do a dictionary lookup. But trying to find new books to read is a nightmare. I hear about some new book I’m interesting in reading, and there is a very high chance it’s not available in the book store. When I finish my current book, I’m moving to kindle.
1. Synchronization doesn't work properly, most of the time I have to turn the pages to the moment I leave on another device. 2. Translation can't be adjust. So I can't translate or look defenition of English words, only from other languages to English... English is not my first language, I know it enough to have it as a system language and it's more convenient for me, but not enough to read the books 100% without translation. 3. Why the first to issues in the list even exist, considering the price on your devices, and you force to looking for third party apps, though ibooks was pre-installed

Great offers regularly for very good books and audiobooks.
In general the app is nice, but there are several points that makes me really upset. 1) I can’t copy some text from a book in my iPad. There is no such option. 2) I can not zoom Images inside the books. And some images include captions that became impossible to read because of small letters.
I loved the app because of how smooth and well done it was. But now after the update to ios16 my books have disappeared that did not come from apple book store. They have made turning a page seem so mechanical that it’s hard to use the ap as I prefer the old way. Also I loved that it would auto adjust light when reading as I am reading at evening with low light and now I have to switch to it manually. They took a great app and made it a crap.
Temperamental, volatile, inconsistent, unreliable. The kindle app and library are far superior and reliable, without the headache of having to deal with Apple Books inability to synch devices and stay synched!
