I was genuinely excited to start purchasing audiobooks through Apple Books, expecting a seamless and intuitive experience – especially from Apple. Instead, I was met with a baffling UX inconsistency that left me annoyed and disappointed.

Here’s the issue: while there’s a dedicated section for audiobooks in my library, there is no option to browse or purchase audiobooks in the actual Apple Books store menu. Why on earth would you create a space for audiobooks in the user’s library if the storefront doesn’t even support purchasing them?

This is not just a minor oversight – it’s a fundamental design flaw. It wasted my time, created unnecessary frustration, and made me question the quality of the platform as a whole. From a company like Apple, I expected far better.

The result? Apple just lost a customer who was ready to spend money regularly on digital content. A simple, broken expectation – and it cost you a loyal buyer.

Even through I have enough space on my iPad, the app deleted (repeatedly) HUNDREDS of PDFs I had stored in the app. I am not using it anymore, I can’t waste my time and nerves with this ridiculously frustrating app. It has many inconveniences anyway, but losing such a huge amount of data repeatedly is just not what I expect from an original app on such an expensive device.
