What happened to me is I applied an account for my daughter with Hong leong apply app. Few days after the application was sent, I received an email from Hong leong instructing me to deposit rm20 to activate. Deposited as told. However, they then told me my daughter account is deactivated and need her to activate at branch. I now can’t close the account nor get back my money unless I sent my daughter to Hong leong branch. There’s trick that you should know, make sure to scan the IC at open daylight area and if it’s at night, make sure it’s not to close to the light and if it’s close,do make sure there’s no glare/reflection.
