This game is fantastic and a breath of fresh air on mobile! Yes there are RNG aspects but what auto battler doesn’t have that in it. There’s still and strategy going into each round and synergies you have to think about. The game is smooth and plays well. No reason to not give it a try!

So, I do legitimately enjoy this game. Been playing for a couple of weeks now, and its been a lot of fun. So why only 3 stars? The first issue is a technical one: the game crashes and similar issues. The game crashes quite a bit? I’d say its approximately every other game, but sometimes you get multiple in the same game and sometimes you have streaks without. There’s also similar issues that require the game to reload itself, like when matchmaking takes forever and then times out, or when you attempt to sell a unit and it instead glitches into the shop bar, making the game effectively unplayable until you close and re-open it. There are also some miscellaneous bugs in the gameplay itself; I recently had a comp where one unit that ended as a 90/90 or so was saved for defense/arena as a 12/16, and I am pretty sure that the kidnap units don’t always work properly? but i’m not 100% sure about that one. The other issue is the monetary one. As I’ve climbed further up the ranks it becomes more and more of an issue. Its most apparent in the Arena, where upgraded endgame scaling builds far outpace the normal un-upgraded versions of those builds, but it also becomes pretty apparent in ranked mode too. I’m currently in Gold IV with both heroes, and the number of times that on turn 1-2 my opponent just has a strictly better unit than me can get annoying after a while. Heroes can also have a bit of a power differential, but its not quite as explicit as epic > rare > common. The best heroes are epic, but quite a few epics are pretty bad, and there are some very solid rare and common heroes as well, though they excel at different points in the game. Its also worth highlighting the fact that most of the upgrades are randomized. Outside of the level up rewards, which i think are on a set path? (But you don’t what they are in advance, so maybe they are random), getting relics, getting heroes, and spending tokens to upgrade unit types are fully random, so even when you get the tokens, there’s a solid chance your upgrade is mostly irrelevant. Anyway, I do like the game, its an interesting spin on Hearthstone Battlegrounds, plus asynchronous play, which is a huge plus. Anyway, I think that merits 3 stars, as I would recommend it, but it has some flaws that are worth addressing.

Edit: downgraded to two stars. As I’ve played more, the p2w disparity has grown even more, such as myself playing a t1 unit as a 3/3 and my opponent as a 6/6. In addition to that, the bugs are far more

It’s really well made game. Feels balanced no 1 syngery is better than the other. RNG is apart of the game but that’s what makes it fun and not repetitive, also adds a skill gap when drafting. I do wish they’re were more Quest, Cosmetics, and more interaction with other players, maybe a live draft mode.

Either give free players more ways to make gold or increase the dealer exp cap. Doing all the dailies isn’t enough gold for one dealer level. The gameplay loop is good. Monetization needs some work. Will update review if changes are made

I enjoy battleground/tactic games like this and love that I can be Afk and pick off where I go since I live a busy with family and work. But after this most recent patch, I’m highly disappointed in another card dealer and you have to spend more gold/etc to ramp up your types of cards all over again and bottle neck your gold acquisition.

Also dislike that after paying the premium battle pass of $20 to remove ads, etc it gets wiped next season??? I think that’s a load of bull and super greedy. 

Definitely hope they pull their heads out and realize that’s a pretty lame way to approach it and if another game with similar ways to play comes up with less paywall i will be jumping ship.

Yes the game is slightly rng based but even with that bad luck sometimes, it’s still fun. There is no crazy pay wall like people are saying. you don’t need really good hero’s in order to win games, just luck and some strategy you’ll get better hero’s as you progress. The progression system is literally gold. don’t save gold spend it all. I read a comment that you need to be careful with how you send your gold. there is literally nothing else to spend gold on pal. also there is no direct way in the shop to get gold but technically you can use your diamonds to buy a chest which will give you gold. Very fun game and excited for future updates. Also quality of life change needed the freeze for the shop cards is a bit finicky and sometimes the border doesn’t show up around the card

Fun game, but my opponents should  not be able to have access to types that aren’t in my game and vice versa. Also Orcs are way too overtuned. Just put a rage unit with multistrike and make the rest of your units taunt and easy win every time

The gameplay is very addictive and fun. It’s well thought out and there’s so much you can play since there’s no energy system for the base game. However, the ability to fuse characters into the golden character is based on “RNG” but once you get two characters, it gets impossibly unlikely to get the third. It’s way less common than actual random chance, so there’s some rigged algorithm. 

If not for that, would’ve been 5/5 stars.
