Die ARD-ZDF-Box ist eine Dateiaustauschplattform für deutsche öffentlich-rechtliche Rundfunkanstalten. Für den Zugriff auf die ARD-ZDF-Box ist ein gültiges Nutzerkonto erforderlich, dieses können Sie von Ihrer Rundfunkanstalt erhalten.

Ihre Daten werden bei Benutzung der ARD-ZDF-Box auf Servern des IVZ gespeichert. Anschließend können Sie die Daten für andere Benutzer freigeben oder über das Internet erneut abrufen. Die Übertragung aller Ihrer Daten erfolgt über verschlüsselte Verbindungen.

Leider gibt es immer wieder Probleme beim Abspielen von wav-Dateien. Spulen ist nur per Scrollbalken möglich, andere Bedienelemente fehlen, und nach dem Sprung an eine andere Stelle der Datei gibt es immer wieder lange Audio-Unterbrechungen.

Ich arbeite nun schon seit vielen Jahren mit der ARD/ZDF-Box und hatte nur selten Probleme (die auch schon länger zurück liegen). Die Box an sich ist prima zur ÖR-weiten Zusammenarbeit. Ich lege hier alle Dateien (meist Studien) zu meinem Newsletter ab und habe noch nie irgendwelche negativen Rückmeldungen bekommen. Die App für iOS läuft auf iPhone und iPad sehr gut und ergänzt die Desktop- und Web-Applikationen. Ohne die Box müsste ich auf allgemeine Cloud Dienste zurückgreifen, bei denen man aber nicht weiß, wo die Daten landen. Hier fühle ich mich sicher.

Mit der App ist kein Login möglich wieder mit ZDF Zugangsdaten noch mit ARD Zugangsdaten. Es gibt auch keine Möglichkeit über einen Passwort vergessen Weg neue Zugangsdaten zu generieren. Hier scheint wohl eventuell ein Zugangsdaten Skimming Möglich zu sein. Auf jeden Fall erweckt die App kein Vertrauen.

Leider beschränkt sich die App ausschließlich auf die Dateiverwaltung. Die anderen Funktionen wie „Kreise“, „Kalender“, „Deck“ sind alle nicht verfügbar.
