It works but often it’s clunky and slow. The camera or the app have failed several times over the last 6 months of use. Couple that with Australian NBN and it’s plain frustrating and not reliable. Having to reset to default settings and setup the whole system twice in that time. I wouldn’t purchase this brand again.

Why change something if it’s not broken? The old version of the app was simple to use, automations worked, schedules worked, you could create custom modes, and it was easy to understand. 

The new version is terrible. Only 3 modes with no custom modes, geofencing seems to fail intermittently (becoming more common lately), the “enabled” thing to a while to work out but to poor language used, there is less functionality compared to the old version but somehow it’s more complicated to use. Tell me how I can have a schedule only run when I’m home so when I return home after the schedule start time, it will still activate. It seems to only turn on at a specific time unlike the old version where it could be programmed for a time range. It’s a backwards step and after spending over $1500 on devices, we now have to deal with this poorly developed app, or spend more money on a competitors product. Please fix the issues Arlo, you have a lot of fans but losing them with this development.

Overall very good system and build quality. I have used the Arlo 4-camera system for more than 6 years now so I can vouch for its reliability. In fact I loved and trusted the Arlo brand so much that I bought 4 complete systems altogether to install in my other properties. When I bought it I thought I was paying a premium for it but I did not mind it knowing that I will not have to pay any subscription for using it. However just recently I was disappointed to learn that Arlo is discontinuing the free subcription facility. I think this is a big let down for customers like me and I hope Arlo would reconsider it. Notice that I gave the Arlo system a 4-star because of this change in policy. Should Arlo decide to reinstate the free subcription policy then I would wholeheartedly give the Arlo system a 5-star rating. So how about it Arlo, are you willing to listen to your faithfull customers?
Update : Looks like recent changes  due to the subscription policy there is now annoying delay when you open the app. You have to wait up to one minute before you are able to operate the app.

Not as good as the EUFY app. Too many notifications and the only way to cancel them is to suspend them for up to 24 hours which is very frustrating. EUFY also has a better app which seems to be more seamless.
Frustrating that multi users can’t use the app all the time. My wife keeps getting logged out. 
When the doorbell rings, we can’t answer the phone via our apps as no image comes up and two way comms does not work. Battery life is poor compared to Link cameras. Have to charge all the time.
