A universal app that is a great iPhone Arpeggiator for single thumb programming. The iPad version is exactly the same scaled up and oriented for portrait use. Overall, it's a useful melody sketch sequencer that one can chain up to eight patterns of various lengths so you can keep it simple or make a complex melody. Each pattern can be set separately to a number of pattern types available e.g. As Played, Up/Down, Inward/Outward, Low Pedaltone Descending, Douple, Octuple, Follow Octave, Random, etc. Tempo relies on itself as a source using standard Midi Clock or can track timing from other sources. While MIDI as a timing source is good and reliable with no strange timing artifacts, it could use Alberton LINK so I wouldn't have to use another app like MIDI Link Sync.
One of the most versatile arpeggiators on iOS. Maybe the best on iPhone (as most are for iPad). Great UI as well. And can you believe it all the advanced features have gone free now! If you have MIDI synthesizers you got to have this.
Note to music novices-this is not supposed to make sound. You use it to connect to a DAW or hardware synth that may not have an arpeggiator feature. Also a no brainer for a free one with this many features.
I'm excited to use this app at some point. The controls look like a lot of fun to use with some iOS synths or other stuff via MIDI. It doesn't get past the opening screen. Nothing responds. Just crashes after freezing for a few seconds right after it opens.
One of my favorite midi arpeggiators. I find myself using it almost exclusively... Wonderfully easy to noodle on.
It generates midi. It's sad to see a developer have a bad rating because people are either ignorant about midi and can't read a description, or maybe they thought their phone was special and would generate audio, even though it is clearly stated it doesn't.
To the people complaining that the app does not produce sound, if you read the description it clearly says the app does not produce sound on its own; It has to be connected to a synth. It is not cool to leave a bad review of a product for not doing something that the description said it doesn't do. It's like giving a bad review for a CD player because you can't play a cassette on it (showing my age).
not making a sound
Great for synth and keyboard control.
