Description

Practice reading EKGs in lead II

Basic EKG interpretation is more accurately described as an intermediate level skill that takes time, practice and refreshing. Whether you are a doctor, nurse, EMT or tech your ability to read and pickup on basic EKG changes in real time is vital. Practice with an app that actually looks like what you see at work.

Use the app’s ‘Study Mode’ to choose one or multiple rhythms to view and compare. A brief description of each rhythm is provided, you can also pause and restart rhythms. Delete and add specific rhythms as desired. Rates, amplitudes and widths of the rhythms are dynamically set which provides for a more realistic simulation and variation within each type of rhythm.

Use the app’s ‘Game Mode’ to challenge yourself to identify rhythms presented randomly in lead II. If desired, you can also custom specify which rhythms to include in the game.

Please Read: The purpose of this app is not to teach basic EKG interpretation but rather to practice basic EKG interpretation. If you don’t know basic EKG interpretation seek out additional resources such as classes, books, online materials and mentors to learn more and further your understanding.

Note: The cardiac rhythms presented by the app are simulated approximations. There is NO guarantee to the accuracy of rhythms presented. While accuracy is not guaranteed it is a goal. Please report errors, suggestions or general feedback to: [email protected].

Why?

Diorio10 on

I like the appearance change but the horizontal scrolling to select the rhythm is clunky and slow and makes it easy to press while scrolling. At least give me an option to have a list view like before or something. I think adding variations to some of these rhythms would help out a lot because only 1 visual example for each rhythm is easy to identify after like 5 cycles. Also there should be more rhythms in general. I’ve had this app for almost a year and not having simple ones like accelerated/ tachycardic idioventricular or WAP or MAT seems like easy additions. Not asking for revolutionary changes here.

Is there a reason this app is not available on android? It’s been helpful in learning rhythm recognition but unfortunately I’m unable to extend the app to others that are not on iOS.

For beginner

Redlaphoenix on

Simplistic way to do basic ECG reading without the confusing leads. It starts basic and you can add rhythms from a list as you go to add to your type of Ruth’s recognition. Therefore, you can add to the complexity as you get better at recognizing each rhythm.

Why dose it not work on the Apple Watch

Overall good app

stepabby on

I agree with other review does need more examples of each rhythm, however did improve my recognition , also like fact that is simulation of true monitor and not just still strips to interpret

Repetitive

There needs to be multiple examples for rhythms. Within 5 minutes all of the rhythms cycled.

Profiteering at its finest

It is ridiculous that you need to pay to unlock some rhythms.

Excellent EKG practice!!!

Love it!

Not bad

Good for practice. But it needs multiple examples of each rhythm.

Very helpful!

As an EMT student, this app has helped me tremendously when it comes to learning the different rhythms. I definitely recommend paying the 4.99 to unlock all of them. That way you can start as basic as you want and add in more for a challenge or to test your skills. It does not give an explanation, however that’s what textbooks are for🤓! Such a great way to practice. Best app all around!
