ASA’s Sailing Challenge (for iPhone/iPad) includes six fun, easy-to-use modules that unlock the mysteries of sailing. Learn Points of Sail, Apparent Wind, Sail Trim, Tacking and Jibing, Rules of the Road, and Docking. Then, put it all together when you sail around a course against the clock in the Sailing module.

Sailing Challenge combines the most innovative thinking in the digital education field with ASA’s experience in teaching sailing to create a game that lets players climb aboard, take control of the tiller in one hand and the mainsheet in the other, and sail off on a virtual sea of fun. Limited play super simple

Not to be under valued!

I’ve found this app great in helping me learn to sail. I was most impressed after letting my 10year old daughter play the game of sailing around a few times because when I finally took her sailing months later she had an amazing grasp of rudder abd sail positions relative to the wind purely from the game; theory parts excluded!! I actually think this has potential to be even better!

Best learning app

Hi everyone, just wanted to comment the team on a fantastic app. They have really nailed every aspect of teaching points of sail in a practical aspect. By far the best app on the App Store if you are considering learning sailing and want to understand sail positioning. Well done to the developers lots of time spent on getting it right!

It’s hard! Just like sailing!

This app is as close to sailing as you can get with an app. You have to helm and trim at the same time. What got me was how you can see the gusts coming and the boat will respond to them and start lifting just like real life.

I think this app is by far the best and most engaging app I have found to help me with basic sailing that I need right now. I thank-you and I’m very much grateful for the hard work. I cannot get out on a boat these days and so it’s a sturdy refresher for me to study. Please don’t go away!!

Very good pocket sailing simulator. Teaches fundamental skills that can be practiced and applied on a sail boat. Great for beginners!
