Poor APP - Limited Functionality
The app is limited at best and a lazy approach to banking as they close their branches. Comparable with banking apps from the UK it’s like the bare bones and is more hassle than help. Terrible app.

Has become worse since the closure of physical banks. Messaged for support on the app, finally got a response 2 days later. The response was the same as what you can see on the website….. On the phone, WAITED for staff for almost 1 hour!! My account had a block for this transfer and the only way to overcome is to call and wait then wait some more.
The new update Ui to make payments is terrible. If you add $$ amount first and then click who to pay there’s conflicting overlapping screens and you can’t minimise easily. The pay now button at the bottom is under the fold making the whole thing really clunky and amateur.
I keep getting logged out since the recent update, and have to redo-registering every couple days.
You’re an app for my bank cards. But why do u have so many odd names to deal with. Can’t u just, build this app, in a real customer s point of view, not in an arrogant banking background manager s view? I cannot understand.
They updated the app and my phone wouldn’t support the old app anymore and my phone doesn’t allow me to update so now I can’t get into my online bank log in. Monday I’m going to switch banks I’ve never had this issue with any other online bank long mobile services.
Been an ASB customer for 18 plus years the app keeps reducing the daily amount I can pay out to my suppliers despite more than sufficient money in the account to cover the expenditure. This means I have to call jump through hoops totally unnecessarily to run the business.
Appalling that this bank continues to invest millions of dollars of New Zealanders money into Motorola Solutions, a company that is on the list of the UN’s list of companies that are directly involved in the oppression of Palestinians because it’s been helping out with telecommunications and military security, particularly at the checkpoints and at on the occupation wall, which are two of Israel’s biggest apartheid infrastructures.
I really like banking with Asb rather than any other banks. Just because your banking app gives a different level of experience and service
