## Asketch Description
Asketch is a unique and versatile sketch pad. It allows creativity on the go, anytime, anywhere.

Its deliberate simplicity makes it perfect for beginners who want to learn to draw;
equally, advanced artists will find a wonderful buttery, tonal canvas for their life studies,  cartoons, abstracts, landscapes and other subjects.  The app is engineered to deliver rapid, but powerful image capture, facilitated by a great transform function that allows you to pick up the drawing, resize it and move it around the canvas, and a amazing zoom that lets you draw in minute detail. So if you want to put a traditional, but digital sketch pad in your pocket, this is the app for you. 

Features and functionality:

Gesture based drawing interface: Changing the surface area of your finger on the screen controls the focus of the drawing. Supports pressure sensitive drawing on iPhones that support pressure sensitivity.

Image zooming that actually works: Do amazing detail work when zoomed in. No pixelation of brushes while drawing.

Image transformation: Scale/Rotate the image via a simple pinch gesture. 

50 Levels of undo/redo. Swipe the undo/redo button to toggle back and forth. Hold down the button for rapid unwind/rewind.

I have iPad Pro iOS 13.3 and after updating application crashes when trying to open. I need to access my files as I am in the middle of a contract and this is my livelihood and must finish this job. Please contact myself as soon as possible as to when a likely update will be available.

I am a professional artist and this app is incomprehensible.....I use it on my iPad. I just cannot figure out how to increase the size of the pencil stroke, or how to erase, or how to do what most other apps make easy with instructions. It looks good,but to me it is NOT. I don't get how all the other reviews are positive. They must be doing something I am not aware of. By the way,ever tried using a proper pencil and a proper piece of paper? There are no choices of paper.....textures,colours,etc. Total waste of time.....as it's not that easy to figure it out.

### ***** "Scrumptious feel - I wish All drawing apps were this responsive"
The nib feels so good , makes me peeved that other expensive apps can’t get this type of responsive feel . Wish there was an option to totally get rid of the shadow feature ( that looks like charcoal ) , but that’s a tiny thing .. I love this app .I’ve tried Procreate , all the big popular ones and this still feels the nicest .

### ***** "A simple, expressive and brilliant drawing medium"
Asketch remains such a simple but brilliant drawing medium. As a primary drawing app it can deliver charcoal like tonality and texture. When I have given art masterclasses at Apple's big London stores  I have always tended to start my demonstrations with Asketch for this reason. So look no further if you want a quick and expressive digital sketching medium and one you can then export (with no background) into an app like Procreate to paint into.

I think that this app is good for drawing tiny images but not for tracing pictures or colouring pictures In, I think you need to let people go on to their photos on your app and let them draw around their photos.

Sadly I'm with the negative reviewers here. As a professional artist, like others, I find this app unresponsive and unintuitive but most importantly you don't have enough control over the marks it makes. For example, you can't even draw a circle without it shading it in for you. The makers of this app seem to believe that every time you make anything more than a vertical or horizontal stroke, you must want shading too. So if you draw a curve it will automatically shade it for you. This is unacceptable in my opinion. Maybe it's why the video guy draws a very angular face to promote the app!
I properly took the time to learn how to use this app from the website and from video tutorials but still wasn't impressed. Maybe I've been spoiled with the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, but even so this app is outclassed in every way by other apps out there.

I have been using this little program since the beginning and it's an excellent tool to get down on 'paper' a quick idea. I usually start my drawings using this - as it has a quick natural feel - and then export them to finish off. Get it if you love sketching.

Iv got loads of art / drawing apps and have paid a fortune over the years but this is free and one of the best !!!

Since the last update this app keeps crashing plus a line keeps appearing from one corner of the screen to the opposite corner which ruin my pictures.

Had so much expectations on this app...
Nothing out there that puts a simple stick of charcoal on a piece of paper, however that still is not achievable with this app.

Almost good, the tools vanish an to get them back you have to stroke the pad a few times on the right corner an getting extra lines on your work, no info on how to use it, no blending with finger as per youtube video... Utter disapointing really.

Very limited "undo" button that jumps to "redo" on its own if you keep tapping "undo" to correct the most horrible digital charcoal marks I have ever seen.
I'm sticking with brushes app!

I can see that other people are pleased with this, but why? The output is only a 320 x 480 JPG. A screen grab is better!

Also: zoom is mentioned but I cannot find out how to activate this. But due to the tiny output size, any detailed work i did would surely be invisible.

Ignore any negative reviews, just try it! I've been sketching for 40 years and this blows me away. There are great instructions on the makers website, it's all quite simple, took me about 10 mins to get it. I expect, like others, I thought it wasn't working at first, a blank screen, but a two finger tap brings up a menu and you can just start. The possibilities are quite amazing. It's a new experience, quite different from other apps but far more sophisticated than anything I've tried so far apart from Artrage.

I loved the look of this app, but I find it utterly impossible to use... 
There was no tutorial, and after a week of having this app, I still don't know how to bring up the menu bar, let alone how to use it's features (I've tried swiping with two fingers from the bottom, but it just zooms..) 
All of them confuse me. Awful.
