App interessante ma crasha spesso e non è fluida nell’ utilizzo ,insomma è abbastanza acerba ma per 1,99€ può andare bene

New behavior…this app crashes immediately with my IPad Pro 2017. Update: the recent new version seems to have ended this problem. Before, I didn’t get as far as opening an image. When I say it crashed immediately, that’s what I meant, before I could do anything.
The app is very good for it’s intended use but crashes with high(er) resolution (6000x6000=36MP) jpeg pictures taken with a 136mm/F2 camera lens and a ZWO ASI533MC Pro camera.
Astro Edit is perhaps the simplest tool I have found for doing basic tweaks to astrophotographs. However, there appear to be some significant bugs in this app. For the record, I attempted to edit an image that has 16 M pixels from a ZWO ASI071MC-Pro camera. AstroEdit is installed on an iPad Pro (11 inch - 4th generation). This image had been partially processed using other tools (GraXpert and SiriL) but needed some additional processing to get the image looking better. It is here where the problems started. I opened the 16-bit/channel TIFF image into Astro Edit which promptly crashed the app, possibly because the file was too large for the app. So, I took the 16-bit/channel image and converted it to an 8-bit/channel TIFF image. That smaller dynamic range image did not crash the app, but there was not sufficient dynamic range to do any significant processing without creating image artifacts. It’s very important to be able to process 16-bit/channel images in order to have a dynamic range large enough to get good results. This app has real promise for first time astrophotographers. It would be a game changer for people who are using a smart automated telescope for astrophotography like the ZWO Seestar S50.
AstroEdit 2.11 is a game-changer for astrophotography editing on iOS. The addition of real machine-learning AI denoise takes this app to a whole new level, producing excellent results with minimal effort. And the refined user interface makes using the app very intuitive. Someone with no astrophotography experience will find they can make their Seestar images pop and turn into something they’re eager to share. Experienced astrophotographers will feel right at home with tools they’re used to using. AstroEdit is a must-have app.
I’m just getting started in basic Astro photography. I don’t need or want anything fancy. I just want to clean up my images. This application allows me to quickly and easily do just that. Its minimalistic approach makes it easy for a beginner like me to grasp. I’m not overwhelmed with menu after menu of options. It sticks to the basics and does them very well. It allows me to clean-up my images resulting in much improved image quality. Definitely recommend!
