I want my money back -- mitchco1, 2020-03-27 ### *---- "Hockey" Tried to use for the team I coach. Couldn’t get the iPad to pick up the speed of the puck. Followed directions to the inch. Waste of money. -- EdG1010, 2020-02-05 ### ***** "Amazing Radar Gun!!" I highly recommend this app. It works just as good as a radar gun, but i would prefer the app over the radar gun. It is simply better than a radar gun because for one you can use it by yourself. But not with a radar gun. If you are a person looking for a good radar gun app, BUY THIS ONE!!!! I have a family member that works for the police, and he was able to borrow one for me. I tried the radar gun then the app. They both had the same speed. The app is so much more convenient though. You can hook it up to multiple devices, and it works like a charm. PLEASE if you are looking for a cheap radar gun get this one. It is only 11.99 for one sport, and 13.99 for all sports. (Ultimate Edition) I do not work for Athla, I was just a customer like you looking for a good cheap radar gun. And I am a very satisfied customer. -- CPD38, 2019-06-07 ### ***** "Very helpful for a Little Leaguer..." I was a little leery about purchasing the app, but after a few days use it seems to provide good consistent feedback on pitch velocity for fastballs and change ups. I am using an iPhone 6 (camera) with a G-Boom Bluetooth speaker and have linked an iPad to "see" the speed. Have used the Bushnell but prefer the Altha Velocity app--at least for pitcher-catcher practice. Does not work consistently in low light (indoors) conditions. -- RonWeyforth, 2016-08-08 ### ***** "Fun for Kids Baseball Practice" I'm no expert on speed but it seemed pretty accurate. Between my both my son's fastballs and curve balls they were noticeably different. What they enjoyed most was seeing how fast they could throw. It made practice very exciting and made them work longer and harder. It wasn't difficult to setup. Loved how the app announced the speed. What I would like to see with the app is to be able to setup users and track their individual progress. -- MacjacDesign, 2016-05-17 ### *---- "Want my money back!!" This app didn't work at all! We followed the directions perfectly and nothing!! And "Troubleshooting" is just a repeat of the original directions! -- Jerspan, 2016-05-03 ### **--- "Not Impressed" This app relies on precise distance for accuracy. A fastball straight down the pipe will record accurately, but, anything other than a straight shot will cause significant variance. My 12yo son was recording the same speed on an inside curveball as an outside 2-seamer. Those same pitches will be 12-14mph different on his pitching coach's radar. A ball thrown high in the strike zone will show up faster than a ball at the knees thrown at the same speed. The 20' side distance needed also means you can't use the app in games as your device would have to be in the field to work. The YouTube video is also misleading as it make it look like the developer is standing behind the pitcher recording speed and it is really coming from a second linked device from the side. I really wish apps like these came with a trial period. I'd like my $16 back. -- 12u Coach, 2016-04-27 ### *---- "does NOT work as described" It has to be EXACTLY 20 ft to the side to work…so cant use in game, just for bullpen sessions. On my iPhone 6, it locks up after 5-6 pitches. iPhone seems to freeze for about 10-15 secs when trying to reset/close the app. Its not as easy to setup/use as they portray. Wish I could get a refund…. -- Jayhawk71, 2016-01-19 ### ***** "Amazing" I use this app for tennis serves and I hook it up to my Bluetooth speaker and it tells me the speeds! I love it and I know it's really accurate. well worth the money -- deanboo24, 2015-10-02 ### ***** "Great app" Great app for tracking speed, use it all the time. -- Jetsmetsben, 2015-06-07 [View all Athla Velocity (Ultimate) reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Apps Similar to Athla Velocity (Ultimate) - [Pocket Radar® Sports](https://apptail.io/app/pocket-radar-sports-jYsb/united-states) - [Arm Speed Analyzer for Watch](https://apptail.io/app/arm-speed-analyzer-for-watch-abRb/united-states) - [SkipTraq Scorekeeper](https://apptail.io/app/skiptraq-scorekeeper-BNgc/united-states) - [TrackMan Camera](https://apptail.io/app/trackman-camera-zWFc/united-states) - [Sport Scope](https://apptail.io/app/sport-scope-dsel/united-states) - [SkipTraq Scoreboard](https://apptail.io/app/skiptraq-scoreboard-BoDl/united-states) - [SKLZ Hyper Speed](https://apptail.io/app/sklz-hyper-speed-LdDp/united-states) - [Rapsodo Softball](https://apptail.io/app/rapsodo-softball-nCtv/united-states) - [Tennis Serve Speed Tracker](https://apptail.io/app/tennis-serve-speed-tracker-EJQv/united-states) - [Casmium Velo Tracker](https://apptail.io/app/casmium-velo-tracker-ksjw/united-states) ## Athla Velocity (Ultimate) Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/united-states) - [Brazil](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/brazil) - [South Korea](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/south-korea) - [North Macedonia](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/north-macedonia) - [Sweden](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/sweden) - [Türkiye](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/turkey) - [Estonia](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/estonia) - [Spain](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/spain) - [Finland](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/finland) - [Grenada](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/grenada) - [Hong Kong SAR China](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/hong-kong) - [Italy](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/italy) - [United Arab Emirates](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/united-arab-emirates) - [Taiwan](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/taiwan) - [Namibia](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/namibia) - [Norway](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/norway) - [Peru](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/peru) - [Qatar](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/qatar) - [Ukraine](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/ukraine) - [Thailand](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/thailand) - [Barbados](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/barbados) - [Chile](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/chile) - [China](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/china) - [Colombia](https://apptail.io/app/athla-velocity-ultimate-mKPz/colombia) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
