BIDDING
The game starts off with Bidding stage of the game (15,20,25,30). You hold bids when you are the dealer and make bids if you are not.

CALLS TRUMP
If you have received the bid then you may call trump. Calling Trump allows you to decide what cards are the strongest. (Someone Always calls trump).

Discard Stage
The player whom called the Trump will receive a kitty (4 extra cards). When you receive the Kitty you will be able to discard cards. The player who did not call Trump will only be able to discard the cards he has.

THE PLAY
Each player, in turn, must follow suit if possible if trump has been player. If unable to follow suit, a player may play any card they would like. If players do not play trump they can play any card they like.

ACES OF HEARTS
The Ace of hearts ignores trump rules (Except when trump is Hearts). This card can be played strategically to maximize your trick taking potential.

## Auction / Forty Fives Reviews in United States

### *---- "Poor plays"
Plays poorly. In cutthroat play, Instead of trying to set the bidder, the opponents are only out to gain points. In partner play, there is no concept of third man high.
-- W1PAG, 2024-10-11

### **--- "Not realistic"
Nonsensical plays ruin a great game. Playing a trump on your partners winning trick when you are playing last doesn’t make sense
-- hbvcxdfgh, 2024-07-02

### *---- "Stinks"
If you like losing play this game. I play to relax but it’s hard when you get out bid and have no trump cards. When you get nothing in the draw. When they bid 15 and have 5 trump and you have none
-- Sjendudnrjdkd, 2024-04-14

### ***-- "3rd card high rule."
Computer does not recognize this rule and generally will play the lowest trump available to beat what is played. This leaves the partner in a negative position.
-- Lawrence Zag, 2024-04-01

### ***-- "Basic rules"
When playing 4 player, my “partner” never or rarely plays 3rd man high. Especially when he/she wins the bid and starts. Burns my opportunity to help. Also cannot play online??
-- Ab100568, 2024-02-07

### ***** "Trouble creating a game"
Hello, Thank you for creating this app! I used to play this in college daily but the only way to play with and against my buddies would be online now but I am unable to create a game online. Please help with this.
Thank you!
-- Jonnybaseball01, 2023-02-12

### ****- "4"
Great game but online doesn’t work for me.
-- freshy jones, 2022-11-16

### ***-- "I wanted to give this a 4 star"
It was the spelling errors and grammar misuse that made me pick 3 stars. The interface is decent but it’s not conducive to an iPhone user. Every time I swipe up to play a card the phone thinks I’m leaving the app. I can’t anymore. Besides the computers can’t beat me. 💔
-- Julia Audrey, 2022-04-27

### *---- "Not Realistic"
It does not play like the real game. A bid of 15 is useless. The computer will 100% of the time out bid a 15. The computer can also get 5 new cards even when selected that you must keep one. The game of 45s is fun to play with actual people, but this game is just frustrating and not realistic.
-- MrWall, 2022-04-08

### ****- "Lacks one feature"
I love this app and play (Single Player) daily. I must admit I'm not the greatest player and I get quite discouraged when I see how many games I have lost. So I feel there should be a way to clear all game statistics in the Options menu. The only way I can do that now is by deleting the app entirely and reinstalling it from the app store. This gives me a nice fresh start but there really should be an easier way to do this.
