## Audio Catholic Bible Description
*Get it once in the app store, and will work on both your iPad and iPhone*

Rare audio version of the Douay-Rheims Bible translation of St. Jerome from the Latin Vulgate in the 16th Century. For over 300 years, this Bible was the only Catholic English translation of Scripture used. Still considered one of the most faithful and relevant Catholic Bible translations today. Adding to this treasure is the male British accent of the reader of the entire New Testament and most of the Old Testament. Originally recorded in the 1970s onto cassette tapes, and digitally remastered and preserved for your enjoyment.

Will work on your iPad as well as your iPhone (see instructions below).

HOW IT WORKS

Download the app for free and sample some of the Scripture chapters first. Upgrade to the full version to have unlimited access to the complete Old and New Testament.

These MP3s are streamed, not downloaded, so they take up no storage space on your device. A connection is required for the MP3 to play properly. To own these MP3s to manage yourself, go to our website and join the download service.

REINSTALL OR PUT ON iPAD

If you need to reinstall this app or wish to add it to another iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, download the free version, select the "Upgrade" button, and go through the purchase process again. If using the same iTunes account, you will not actually be charged again.

HAVING PROBLEMS?

*If you experience any problem, first try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. You have to go through the purchase process again, but you are not actually charged again if using the same iTunes account*

## Audio Catholic Bible Reviews in United States

### *---- "Poor Audio with lots of static"
Because I paid almost $13 for the audio readings of the Bible, I would think it should be a lot better than what I got. The static or the background noise is very noticeable. And in this day and age I would think this would be easily solved. AlsoThe NArrator has a different accent which isn’t difficult But seems strange. I would love to get my money back.
-- Cycleoregon, 2021-09-06

### ***** "Love this!"
I love this app. The narrator is great, love the accent and the way he reads. Not sure why so many reviewers didn’t like it. It is a beautiful old translation of the Bible. It is lovely. I was happy to pay for it.
-- SBnsd, 2021-07-22

### **--- "In English and not free"
What you get free: table of contents and a few chapters read in English
For $12.99 you actually get the Vulgate in English. But what I wanted was the original Latin. Keep looking.
-- Milkbone1970, 2020-05-22

### *---- "Actually costs $13"
You can only get the first two chapters of each book for free. The reader is hard to understand due to the static in the recording and the antiquated translation. This would be fine if it was free, but if you want to spend $13 on it I’m sure you could find a better recording than this.
-- HaleyFJAB, 2020-02-22

### **--- "Great app but..."
It was good until I was told I need to purchase the rest of the bible
-- Ahrag, 2020-02-20

### *---- "12.99. Really ?"
12.99 for streaming only.
-- Bubba Jed Jenkins, 2019-12-10

### **--- "Poor Reader Quality"
Glad to have an audio recording of the Bible, but the readers are terrible! Poor pronunciation and reading ability--pausing in the wrong spots, etc. A real head shaker.
-- Tuned In, 2019-03-04

### *---- "No production value"
I am so disappointed. I am looking for an audio version of the Catholic Bible. While this is one, the reader is boring... Stumbles over words... And is basically an awful reader.
-- emkay-gpk, 2019-02-06

### ***-- "Plays fine if you have Internet"
If I could play it off-line I would given it 5 stars. I was rather disappointed when I found out that it was only a streaming app and could not be played offline.
-- K9cops, 2018-11-12

### ***-- "Ok"
Unfortunately I did not notice the audio was streamed instead of embedded as I purchased this for my commute. I can only use it for 1/3 of my commute due to service in the mountains. The audio is poor quality but understandable
