I have pretty severe tinnitus and high frequency hearing loss and have used this app for a couple of years off and on. I’ve tried to love it and again fine merit in the concept, but the app fails to function on a daily basis and is super frustrating, especially considering the cost. Sometimes it allows me to listen to music or books while running AudioCardio in the background, but often it just pauses the program. The reminders are intrusive and annoying. Most detrimental is that my scores/tinnitus/hearing have not improved after using it for years. -- Deepsouthshore, 2024-12-05 ### ****- "Works but needs improvement" This app does what it says in terms of running sets of high and low frequency sounds - but it’s flakey. Sometimes it won’t run in the background so you have to have it open and running and can’t use your phone with anything else. Also, it doesn’t always run at the same volume - might be because of something the AirPods Pro are doing with dynamic noise adjustments - not sure - so that’s a problem. I have low level tinnitus but my ears were also spontaneously ringing from time to time. This doesn’t happen when I do my therapy. I’m also seeing my scores improve on the app, and noticing I’m asking people to repeat themselves less frequently. I also struggle with excessive sensitivity to noise associated with hearing loss, and this therapy has helped me significantly with this issue as well. First of all they give you a 14 day free trial which is just shy of the time it takes to see if it does any good. Secondly, the app just stops working while you’re walking around thinking you’re in therapy(you can’t tell it stopped working because the therapy is “silent”) The app tells you thru your headphones that the therapy stopped only about 35 percent of the time . So you you’ll be walking around like a dink for an hour and half and look down to see it stopped working at 3 minutes in. I cannot believe Apple allows junk like this on their platform . I’ve been trying to faithfully try this at a cost of $14 dollars for about 3 weeks now. ZERO , ZILCH except wasted time and life restarting the app. It’s a scam -- Pete200, 2024-10-30 ### **--- "So-so" A couple things: 1. I am not seeing any changes in my hearing. My scores are staying about the same. A little fluctuations up and down. No pattern of improvement. 2. When listening to music, the music is way too loud; and the audio indicators of “half way there” and “sound therapy completed” are so loud that if I am not watching the timer and expecting the voice, I jump out of my skin because of how loud the voice is. I was doubtful when I subscribed since Tinnitus is caused by inner ear parts touching. I didn’t understand how sound therapy could help and I was right…ZERO change. $100 is VERY expensive for a magic elixir that does not work. Don’t waste your time or $s if you are looking for Tinnitus relief. -- Maxwellianation, 2024-10-02 ### ***-- "Not Sure, concerned about dizziness and damage to hearing…" I tried the trial; t was hard to determine any results so I paid for a month. After 4 weeks of daily use for 1 hour I’ve noticed that the hearing fluctuates. According to the app, it’s sometimes a couple points better and then goes back close to the original score. I use it for one hour daily as directed. Yesterday I could hear faint but distinct sounds similar to the therapy, without using the app, so I only did 30 minutes instead of 60. Today my score dropped significantly, slightly lower than my original score before starting the therapy. I’ve been having mild dizziness after starting this, which is concerning. So I’m really not sure if this is causing hearing damage, as some reviews mention, but the score also slightly improved by a couple of points before going back down. I don’t notice much difference in the hearing except that the very faint buzzing in one ear might be very slightly less. I’m not sure if I’ll continue for the next month. I’d suggest starting with the standard plan and just try one month first. I paid for premium for 1 month but am prompted to only use the standard settings, so it’s a waste of $ for premium. Figuring out the premium settings is a job for an ear specialist. Also the therapy is supposed to be inaudible but after careful taking the test over and over, it constantly sets the therapy loud enough to hear. I see other complaints about this, hopefully the company will finally address it. -- X800000, 2024-09-25 ### ***** "It works!" This has really helped reduce my tinnitus. I’ve been using pretty consistently since April. I don’t always complete an hour of the therapy, sometimes I only have time for a half hour or twenty minutes.. but I have noticed changes in my hearing. I can now hear people I work with better when previously I had to say “what?” All the time and ended up avoiding certain people because I couldn’t hear them. Be patient when using this.. it’s not a miracle overnight. It does require commitment.
