## AUM Description
AUM is the flexible audio mixer, recorder, and connection hub for your iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

Connect hardware inputs and outputs, Audio Unit extensions, Inter-App Audio apps, Audiobus, soundfile players, built-in signal processing and filters, in any configuration you want.

Route anything to anywhere with mix-busses, effect sends, audiobus ports, and external multi-channel audio interfaces.

Play hosted synths and instruments using the built-in keyboard or external MIDI controllers, or sequence them with AU MIDI plugins or from other apps using Virtual MIDI.

Record mixes, individual tracks, or both, straight into the storage space of AudioShare (no copying of files needed), with synchronized start and end for perfect loops.

Play back recordings, soundfiles and loops as channel sources in the mixer for backing tracks, further processing or mixing. Soundfiles can be opened from anywhere, including USB drives on iOS 13 and later.

Route and filter MIDI in any way you like using the MIDI matrix. Combine and filter MIDI endpoints using MIDI buses.

Synchronize everything with the transport clock and play in time with other apps or devices using Ableton Link. Connect external music machines and synchronize them with MIDI Clock.

Includes built-in processing nodes for various stereo processing, Mid/Side balance and conversion, EQs and filters, limiting, clipping and saturation. Or use any 3rd party Audio Unit extension or Inter-App Audio effect.

All controls in the mixer can be controlled via MIDI, including parameters of hosted and built-in plugins.

Seit Jahren unverzichtbare App, wird immer besser mit MIDI-Templates und so weiter. Die Grundentscheidung ist heutzutage AUM, Drambo oder Loopy Pro. Für mich ist es AUM, weil ich kaum loope.

### ***** "Quasi Standard"
Well, wer ihn noch nicht kennt, AUM ist einfach der Quasi Standard von Music Produktions Hosts auf dem iPad. Für mich eine Mischung aus Mischer und DAW. Vor allem für schnelle Jams mit verschiedenen Instrumenten und Effekten geeignet. Aber man kann auch ganze Tracks damit produzieren. Als Co-Entwickler vom iPad MIDI Drum Sequencer „Octachron“ nutze ich AUM ständig und binde unseren Sequencer hier ein. Entwickler Jonatan ist auch ein sehr netter Typ und zum Beispiel auch in der AUM Facebook Gruppe aktiv, wo man Fragen und Anregungen loswerden kann. Also eine ganz klare Empfehlung von mir! 😊

### ***** "Das dringend benötigte Arbeitsmittel"
Mit AUM und Audiobus kann man einen Grossteil seiner Musikapps kombinieren und aussteuern, setups incl. Parametern (AU3) speichern und aufnehmen. Das Umschalten und starten von Synthesizern und Effekten wird zum Kinderspiel und verhindert Knopfdrückorgien beim Appumschalten. Aufnehmen von Audio und audiorouting, Midi routing, —- wie ging das eigentlich ohne ??? Für Midirouting ( erweiterte Kontrolle, Filterung, ...) empfiehlt sich dazu noch Midiflow. Dann bekommt man alles in den Griff. Eine schlanke und stabile App. 👍🏾

Amazing app
I just love it
In Combination with Loopy HD and Audiobus perfect for live looping.

Add: control volume level of background apps like YouTube or ultimate guitar.
Sometimes I want to play along with tracks on YouTube or ultimate guitar. If I do that with AUM controlling the audio system of the iPad it's not possible anymore  to change the volume of apps that play in the background like those two that I just named above. But instead of a lower level they play at the highest level possible. I have to change the volume of my guitar to make it possible to play along. Which is very annoying and sounds badly. Thanks

AUM ist momentan meine Go-to App, um schnell musikalische Ideen festzuhalten und aufzunehmen. In seiner Einfachheit ist es unerreicht und nach allen Richtungen mit Plugins erweiterbar. Noch dazu versucht der Entwickler auch auf User-Wünsche einzugehen und hält die App stets mit neuen Updates auf den neuesten stand - sehr zu empfehlen und ein Muss für jeden, der auf iOS Musik machen will!

Ich nutze AUM auf einem IPad 12,9 Pro zum Saxophon üben mit Apogee MIC, Kopfhörer und diversen Apps ( Fiedler Reverb, Anytune Pro, ForScore, Loopy……)
Meine Konfigurationen speicher ich als Preset.
AUM öffnet (mit einem Klick) beim nächsten Mal alle nötigen Apps und Einstellungen: Lautstärke, Hallanteil etc. in Sekunden!
Wechsel zwischen den Apps durch wischen auch gut.
Reverb Send erhöhen, Synthi leiser machen usw. geht
schneller als am Mischpult. Ihr braucht euren Blick nicht vom Tablet nehmen.
AUM läuft perfekt und praxistauglich. 👍

As I know now, it is iOS which is incapable of routing more than exactly1 audio interface. So this leaves 5 stars for this app!

AUM ist bei mir die meist verwendete App. Eine klassische DAW benötige ich oft gar nicht, da ich meist nur für den Moment musiziere. Ich benutze die App gerne zur Steuerung von Synthesizern z.B. mit meinem Launchkontrol XL. Die einfache Parameter Zuordnung kommt mir da sehr entgegen. (Und ist seit dem letzten Update noch besser...).
AUM wird regelmäßig aktualisiert und mit sinnvollen Features erweitert / verbessert.
Die App läuft auf meinen verschiedenen iPads sehr stabil!

I really enjoy working with the app but sometimes it is unpredictable. Apps and plugins on channels crash, recorded loops have cranking sound at the beginning. Always (running iPad mini 2 on iOS 12, so this could be the reason. Nevertheless it’s a bit frustrating especially when playing slow atmospheric stuff). Xynthesizr set to route midi does not always start when pressing play inside AUM. It’s necessary to go inside the app and start the sequence manually. Hard to say why this happens since I am always using the same midi options. Hope developers will read this. Thanks for your work.

Ich versuche Apps wie Korg iM1 mit Multimode Sequenzen zu beschicken aber AUM sendet Pattern oder Piano Rolls immer nur auf Channel 1 an die Synthapps. Ist diese Funktion nicht in iOS enthalten oder wo liegt das Problem? Es gibt kein Midirouting für Zielgeräte. Immer nur für Quellen, was aber eigentlich niemand braucht 🤷‍♂️
