## Australian Good Food Guide Reviews in Australia

### ****- "App review"
App is informative, handy category and sorting functions.
Would love to see an overall interactive map function similar to the michelin app.
-- setrdyygiuh, 2025-09-28

### *---- "A load of rubbish app"
Don’t use the app to book anything. Use the restaurant own website.
-- antonylp, 2025-07-04

### *---- "Avoid."
This app is not only clunky but it’s obvious after a minute or two of use that it’s not updated regularly. Places are either closed or incorrectly located when you go by the app listing location or have been closed permanently for years. Relying on users to then call in these errors is just lazy. It’s a shame that map apps have better, more up to date listings than what should be a go-to guide and food guides in general. This Clayton’s food guide shows how far the Australian Good Food Guide has fallen from grace and no longer has the reputation it once did. Otherwise it would invest money and time in an app that is current and correct. A shame it couldn’t care less.
-- Sam2161, 2025-02-16

### *---- "Apps callaps"
Apps collapses each time I press Start Navigate. That's pathetic
-- Ivanukh, 2024-04-23

### *---- "Out of date!"
Please update this when the new winners are announced. Not 10 months later.
-- Neilliddle, 2023-12-26

### *---- "Probably the worst app ever designed"
My 8 years old could design a better app. Have a look at how the Michelin guide app is designed and simply do the same functionalities. What is expected from your app:
- Sort by higher and lower (not just one way)
- filter by a specific number of hats
- search restaurant near a specific location (not just near me) what if people want to plan before being in the location
- filter for type of cuisine
- multiple filters option (e.g a restaurant with French cuisine that has 3 hats and within 10km)
-- Ollie_nsw2000, 2023-06-18

### ***** "Great app"
Love this app easy to use and has a wide selection of restaurants
-- gcfoodie, 2022-06-21

### *---- "Pricey"
Why is every restaurant rated $$$$ ?
-- Markasdf, 2022-02-03

### **--- "Seems quite out of date"
Not sure if this app is updated regularly (or how the information is kept up to date) but I’ve see at least two restaurants in there that no longer exist, which makes me wonder how useful it is.
-- apetesy, 2021-06-09

### *---- "Can’t choose own location. Only sorts near by."
No good.
-- Knowwhentorun, 2021-04-05

### *---- "Outdated information"
The information in the app is outdated. Scrolled through local area and saw about 4 places that have been closed for over a year
-- ?!373)38, 2020-06-15

### **--- "Poor usability"
The filters and sorting options aren’t useful. Why can things only be sorted in one direction? (Eg price - descending only...)
-- PseudoMuso, 2020-06-09

### *---- "Worst app ever"
Would be good in Sydney. Otherwise rubbish
-- opal 2019, 2019-05-15

### ***** "Great app, easy to use!"
Definitely my go to when dining out for everything from cafes to restaurants from newly opened to hidden gems & old faves!
-- down under gal, 2018-04-09

### ***** "Love the New App"
Looks great, easy to use. Totally recommend it.
-- Moyawsa3, 2018-03-01

### ****- "Uncle lime Lismore"
True Chinese food best in Lismore NSW 67 Wyrahalla red
-- B4IEAT, 2017-10-26

### *---- "What’s the point of having this app? 😖"
What’s the point of having this app - it’s five years old and will not work with iOS 11!!!
-- BT_Mike, 2017-10-08

### *---- "Pretty useless"
Sorry, but your app is pretty useless. I downloaded after I found that your website was pretty useless. My use case is "show me Japanese restaurants in Sydney". Nope. "Accommodation" and "Bars" are not types of cuisine. and when I say Sydney, I mean all Sydney suburbs. not just Sydney CBD. Even just being to select my state would have been nice. Ok so I thought I would try and use the map. nope. The only pins dropped are in the centre of my screen. that's probably less than 10% of the map screen real estate. Maybe before you release the next version, you should actually try and use the app and pretend you're a user or something. good luck!
-- vli23, 2016-10-07

### ***** "Brilliant"
Easiest way to find the coolest bars and eateries wherever you are!
-- Jesswa143, 2014-10-21

### ***** "Cazzys at Coolangatta"
Food exceptional Service is best in town without any question
-- Fessy Forster, 2013-06-27
