## Automatic Technology Description
The Automatic Technology App is part of our Smart Phone Control Kit that allows you to control your garage door remotely. The kit is a smart addition to any Automatic Technology Opener purchase as it delivers features that a traditional remote control cannot provide including;

 • Control your garage door while you are away from home.
 • Receive alerts if your garage door has been left open or obstructed
 • View who has operated the door and when
 • Control doors at more than one location. Eg. At both your home and your holiday home
 • Longer range technology allows you to also control your automatic gate via the app.

Trying the new update with the Apple Watch support. 
The app through the watch doesn’t connect to the opener. Even when parked in the driveway.
Unless I unlock my phone, navigate to the ata app, wait for it to connect to the opener, does the watch app recognise the opener. Makes the watch app pointless. Hopefully an update will correct this.

This app/function has at best worked intermittently. I’m not sure if it’s the physical tech at the gate, or the app, but it has caused a world of headaches. If I was installing a smart gate function now, I would avoid this setup

Love this app!! Such a brilliant app combined with my ATA gate controller gives me remote access and control that has given me functionality for my gates so I can control them from anywhere 👏👏👏

So the app is great if you have the current openers with the inbuilt hub.

Where this falls down is if you have the older opener with the separate hub unit.

The old ones still allow opening and closing but don’t give any feedback about the door status or alerts on open or close.

Other than limited support for their previous models (which used to be 100% supported) the app is great :).

This app is an absolute joke, has more glitches in it that anyone could be bothered with.
Once they brought out the update, my staff of 13 have had nothing but trouble, never closes the gate, always jams, takes forever to load.
If I had an alternative I would swap in a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!

Followed instructions closely, phone connected to the wifi but app will not recognise that it is. No online support of FAQ to assist, all instructions assume perfect connection experience. No security setting enabled on iPhone blocking connection. Kit didn’t even contain correct instructions, had to go searching the web for them. How is this brand popular!

Without CarPlay it makes the app useless for remote control. May as well use the fob as it is quicker and easier without reliable voice commands. The only good thing this app is for is being able to use remote control when you are not in the vicinity of your home which makes its use case very limited. Given that they market the hub with this remote command availability they really need to fix the app and make it usable for all devices and all remote command situations

Like others have mentioned, this would be a great app if it worked better with apple shortcuts. I too want to use it from my apple watch and have it integrated into HomeKit. Really hope the developers can do this soon.

This app now looks nothing like the preview screen panes in the App Store New version does not function well at all. For example when you close your door with the app you then have to shut the app down if you want to open the door as the app gets stuck and freezes ( this is not a connectivity problem as previous version worked perfectly ) Door icon looks unprofessional. Previous icons had a much better layout and professional look App is not fit for purpose and is defective making the product unsuitable for its intended function. Would not recommend this product and giving it one star is too much however I had to so I could write a review.

Don’t fix what isn’t broken. The new smartphone interface does not show whether the garage door is open. Even if it’s open the interface shows “closed”. So that’s confusing. Then, when I check history, it shows “opened by …..” but doesn’t show the closure executed by the remote. Pls bring back the old interface.
