## Autotrader Reviews in United States

### ***-- "Feedback"
Impossible to get sellers info or responses
-- HD-ADD, 2026-09-13

### *---- "Terrible"
Don’t advertise your car here for sale. Nothing but scammers and everyone that isn’t interested in buying anything. Autotrader knows about it and doesn’t care. This service is I the worst option possible to sell a car. Beware!
-- A Medic 4u, 2026-09-13

### *---- "Spam"
Spam waste of time
-- tinkerfairyfrog, 2026-09-12

### *---- "Dealerships not individuals"
Disappointed. Wanted to search used cars for sale by individuals. Guess it’s the wrong app. The app has is now a tool for dealerships. Haven’t found a single listing by an individual.

All the prices are on high end or higher than blue book.

Otherwise, it’s an amazing way to search for cars that are overpriced by dealerships. Many were new. Maybe gave up too early. Most were 2025 & 2026.
-- Dysbrat, 2026-09-11

### *---- "Fix private sell chat"
It’s absolutely impossible to chat with a private seller. It never loads .
-- Superthetroll, 2026-09-09

### ***** "First class!"
I’m retired from 40 years in the car business so I have a bit of experience in advertising cars.
Autotrader is aces!
-- Dump buster, 2026-09-09

### *---- "Slow & lagging"
Too much lagging
-- Rdbgd, 2026-09-09

### *---- "1 Star – Horrible Experience, Waste of $50"
My experience with Autotrader has been absolutely horrible. I paid $50 to list my vehicle, thinking I was paying for a reputable platform that would connect me with legitimate buyers. Instead, all I’ve gotten are scammers.

What makes it even more frustrating is how much information Autotrader requires from sellers just to create a listing, yet they apparently do very little to prevent scammers from contacting you. If you’re going to charge people $50 to advertise a vehicle, there should be some level of protection, screening, or quality control.

I paid for a service and received nothing of value in return except scam messages and wasted time.

I really wish I had taken the time to read the reviews about Autotrader before giving them my money. Had I known this would be my experience, I never would have paid the $50.

Save your money. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Autotrader at all.
-- Logiconamac, 2026-09-07

### *---- "No carfax no auto check hard to use. Too many ads"
The new auto trader is overly complicated and cumbersome. Make it easier to navigate.
-- Phix01, 2026-09-06

### ***** "Incredible Customer Service"
Everyone I’ve spoken to has been both extremely helpful, and friendly. They never make you wait when you call. They answer your calls quickly. Stellar Customer Service! Autotrader rocks. I just posted yesterday, so let’s sell this car. Thank you! Jamie
-- Football Fun!, 2026-09-06

### *---- "Would rate zero stars if possible"
Probably one of the worst functioning apps I’ve ever used. Also pigeon holes you into uploading government ID and facial recognition in order to use basic functions.
-- Tinmagicaction, 2026-09-04

### ***** "It’s a good app"
I love it!
-- Autumnanderson, 2026-09-04

### ****- "Toy Vet"
I used AutoTrader as part of my search earlier this year. I found it helpful for both searching and comparing vehicles.
Yes, I purchased one that I found on AutoTrader.
-- BWC7781, 2026-09-04

### ***** "Great product"
Always use your app.
-- Klh3981, 2026-09-03

### ***-- "Glitches"
The app often freezes and glitches
-- mamos8, 2026-09-02

### *---- "Causes extreme iOS lag"
Immediately after opening the AutoTrader app, the device experiences severe CPU spikes causing the phone to become extremely hot to the touch within minutes. This rapid overheating triggers iOS thermal throttling, making the entire device run incredibly slow and laggy.
-- Aa14289, 2026-09-02

### *---- "App Crashes Regularly"
The app is constantly crashing. It will not allow connection through a VPN. If you read a chat and a new message comes in, you have to close the app and go back to messages to read it. VERY CLUNKY. Furthermore, it pushes paid listings to the front of the search, as well as adding other pop up adds for vehicles I have no interest in buying.
-- Wizzleteats, 2026-09-02

### *---- "Fraud, deception and lies."
The auction houses that post a price and then add on all the hidden fees are contradictory to your website's operating statement. Either post the legitimate legal price for the vehicle or expect a freefall in the amount of customers that will do business with your website because of the deception involved. The intent to deceive is willful and with that you can bet I will never buy anything from you. I'll look up a price. And I'll look at the market, but I have no intention of ever purchasing anything through your website or it's affiliates due to the fact that you have no issue whatsoever in defrauding people. And representing those that participate in the same practice.
-- I'm astounded, 2026-08-30

### *---- "The worst app ever ever"
Since the history of time this is a nonfunctional pos app I cannot believe you guys are doing this one and not know anything about it
-- Amazingly low flyer 1000, 2026-08-30

### *---- "100% Fraud when Selling"
I was contacted by dozens of people when I listed my car here. 100% of them were scammers. Do not list here.
