They only turned the app on one month before departure. Wish I could have explored it sooner but it’s looking good so far. Lots of useful options. Photos, journal, suggestions for visiting. I think I will like using the app.

AvalonGo -Taste of the Nile
The AvalonGo app was very useful to have at your fingertips on your phone. From daily agendas, details about excursions, flight information that you customize for you and excursions you can sign up for as you go is very important. Especially on a trip like The Taste of the Nile river cruise that had you up and going for the daily tours.

Avalon waterways app
Very disappointed with this app. Information was incomplete; details like time of departure for excursions weren’t included - or if they were, they weren’t easy to find. Some pages were vertical; others were horizontal so I had to keep turning my iPad back and forth to read.
Not very helpful
If you’re expecting this to give you real time updates in changing excursions or even a personalized clickable excursion info it doesn’t. It shows port stops and then nothing personalized. If excursions change the one time off upload of your list does t update. Often times the daily newsletter or menu pdf for next days is not there until you open and close it two to three times. Folks say it works better in Android no idea but it’s pretty useless in iPhone.

Prep info
This app has been very beneficial in our upcoming river cruise trip. Planning for excursions, weather conditions, room information, ship services, etc thus far have reduced the stress levels and increased the joy of travel.
Helpful
The app is helpful and informative. Seems easy to navigate. I think I will know more user experience with it once aboard the riverboat.
