Description

Average Camera automatically takes multiple pictures (immediately or after a timer expires), calculates the average picture out of these and normalizes the result, to make the lightest pixel become white. It is useful for producing low-noise pictures in low-light situations. Because of the long exposure time, you should not hold your iPhone in your hands, but lean it against something to get sharp results.

Average Camera Pro Reviews

Excellent

After having this app for so long (6 yrs maybe) ..my only worry is that when I get my next iPhone, maybe it will nolonger work ..as there’s always a moment, when this app comes in handy :)

Excellent Tool for Creative Photography

An excellent app, but requires a lot of work on giving additional functionalities. For example, use of new cameras features now available on new smartphones, e.g. ultra wide or telephoto lens options and RAW output. I look forward to an updated version with ‘useful functionalities’, even if there is a nominal charge, from the developer!

Very good and unique

Gives great results with tripod. Well thought out app.

Nice idea but...

If you could point to me where the resulting photos are that would be nice :-). Needs a lot of work yet, like access to the photos so you can gauge whether that was a good take. In the mean time I'll stick to Slowshutter. Needs more Ui love.

Awesome function

I do a lot of a daytime long exposure photography with a dslr and this app creates a great alternative to using Nd filters, really gives a sense of how an image will play out as well as giving me an extra angle to play with. Only thing missing is a cancel button once the process has started, but it's only a minor issue. Great app and already seen a lot of use in the first day since downloading.

Don't get it

I just don't get this app, I get better pics from the HDR setting on the iPhone 5 and had to buy it to find out its rubbish, fail. Where's the refund button !

Crashes often

Looked great on the recent Guardian video, however frequently crashes on my iPhone 5s. I've not even been able to use the app.

Superb for any camera user

Great tool for high quality photos

This version is more stable on my 4S, and offers wider range of options for shot set-up. I use it for noise reduction in shots with poor light and shadow, for great blurring of water - rivers, fountains, waterfalls etc, and for removing people from landscape and cityscapes. The improved stability also makes it very useful for HDR shots. Lock focus on the highlights for the ‘dark shot' and use the gain option at the end to produce a version with well-lit shadows - the ‘light shot' Combine these in any HDR program and you have a really powerful way to extend dynamic range from a single shot. Perhaps a future version could automate that?

Good but...
