Just about every feature is inferior and missing so many features of OzRunways. The UI is severely outdated and looks like something designed about 20 years ago with clearly no proper UI/UX designers being consulted. It’s missing a lot of features that OzRunways has and accessing the same information is cumbersome at best. If I wasn’t forced to use this by my company I absolutely wouldn’t use it.

These tools are meant to be a planning tool and perhaps a nav aid, nothing more. It takes 20 min to plan a flight with Oz runways first time you pick it up. Takes 20 min to do it with a pen and paper if you have access to the information you need. Several weeks later and this thing doesn’t even recognise the performance data that I have selected let alone leave the planning stage. It keeps crashing and the amount of attention it needs in the air is outright dangerous due to the sub par layout and buttons. Save your time an money an get a map plus calculator. Or OzRunways..
Some things are done really well, some things are illogical in the input method. Inflight is OK.
I have been using this software for over ten years, I have seen this app go from strength to strength. When you do hit problems the support is second to none. Keep up the outstanding work making this app world class.

Well thought out and easy to use. An excellent tool to increase your situational awareness whilst flying and it makes the planning a breeze, even with busy 6+ sector days. I have been using it for 5 years, and now use it domestically in AUS and also internationally for NZ and the Pacific. Most recently I have used in the USA whilst training. I have always been impressed with the support from AVPLAN, always receiving usefull responses to any questions within a business day and sometimes even outside business hours. I would highly recommend Avplan to both professional and private aviators.
