Box Breathing (4-4-4-4)
Also known as Navy SEAL or tactical breathing, this is a surprisingly simple and effective way to help regain calm and control of your thoughts when under stress. Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. All through your nose.

Relaxing Breathing (4-7-8)
Have trouble falling asleep? Try this 4-7-8 technique. Inhale for 4 through your nose, hold for 7, exhale for 8 out of your mouth.

Equal Breathing (4-4)
A pranayama practice called Sama Vritti, this breath can help take your mind off the racing thoughts or whatever might be distracting you. Inhale for 4, exhale for 4. All through your nose. (Try a 6 or 8 count, once you feel comfortable.)

Measured Breathing (4-1-7)
A handy stress-reducing practice that can be done anywhere, anytime. Inhale for 4, hold for 1, exhale for 7. All through your nose.

Triangle Breathing (4-4-4)
Another great technique that can help alleviate anxiety or stress. Imagine a triangle with equal sides. Inhale for 4, exhale for 4, pause for 4. Repeat.

I’ve only been using this app for a couple days, but it’s perfect. I love that i can set up my own custom breathing timer profiles. 

I would like to see different chime and voice options in future versions, on the other hand though, I love that the app isn’t bloated with unnecessary things. 

I’ve even used this with my elderly mom who often gets out of breath, we’re working on breathing techniques to expand our lung capacity.

Could be very good but sound doesn’t work without the screen being on…and continues to run indefinitely after the time has finished in some cases for whatever reason. Would not have known and would’ve continued with the breathing except I added an end of program bell that is not on by default. That term did go off but the app kept going otherwise. In line with it not working without the screen being on as one would expect it will also not work if one navigates to another app. Obviously being engaged with the phone and flipping to another app is not a great idea if you are doing breathing practices, but sometimes one has to clear something or otherwise engage for a moment and even though one could continue uninterrupted with the breathing exercise for continuity during the time it takes to do this it will of course not work. Found these things in the first couple of uses so maybe there is more. I would like to express the app could be really good for breathing exercises with at least fixing being able to shut off the screen, and avoiding any sort of continuation after the timer is finished. 

All that said I donated to the development effort.

I love this so much! It’s all free, customizable, pretty simple, and it’s easy to use. However, the only thing I would like to be added is if you can pick your own color, like a color wheel or something. Other than that, it’s perfect. It also doesn’t glitch or require internet for me at all.
 I use this to help calm me down if I’m nervous about a track meet and for settling down for a good nights sleep. Thanks!
