I’ve used this app for many years. For everything. It is still my favorite and functionally the best note. However, there are always some glitches. For no reason what so ever, it suddenly changes to a language that I have no idea of. And one day 2 different folders notes were mixed together into one etc. 
I would rate it 5 if it would be more diligent and trying to do a better job in maintaining and updating this app.

I’ve used Awesome Note for years - probably fifteen years.  Its many ways of recording my notes and information have proven invaluable to me.  But it doesn’t seem to be supported anymore.  I sent a request for help over a year ago and have heard nothing.  Would appreciate a response - hopefully with the help and answers I need, or letting me know this app is no longer supported, so I can move on.

I’d love to see an update to include the iPad, but I still love this app!

I LOVE Awesome Note, but not it's "to do" list. No sub-lists (aka "steps") per task, no icon notification for upcoming or past-due tasks, and a lack of an alarm make this a poor to-do app. With that said; who needs another notepad? I LOVE Awesome Note!!! ------------------------------------------- Old Review: They really hit one out of the park with this one! The only things I think this app needs are multiple check boxes for each todo list. This way you can mark off items on the list as you address them, such as checking off items from a grocery list as you add them to your cart. Otherwise, Mr. Jobs is probably grinding his teeth for not coming up with this one himself!

### ***** "Design and Organization"
Have been using this app for more than a decade. And, yes, I’ve tried a few other apps in this category along the way. I don’t use the calendar or reminder, since I already have Apple’s native apps for those. For me, being a visual first person, the ability to organize all notes into colored, envelope style tabs, each tab with customizable colors and note backgrounds, is unparalleled in my experience testing other note taking apps. This makes the 30 or so tabs for categories I created for projects and subjects easily recognizable and accessible. It really encourages you to think categorically first before adding your next new item. Kudos for this. As with all things not Apple, MS, or Alphabet, be sure to make regular backups. It will sync but as the saying goes, trust but verify.

April 5, 2025: After several years of using Android phone, I still miss this app. So I got it on my iPad. But what’s in the App Store doesn’t work anymore (you can’t delete notes, eg). Can’t somebody resurrect it???

I have used this app daily for 5 years (as you can see from my previous reviews below). I loved the clean look and the elegance. The app didn’t do everything I wanted, but all of its functions were intuitive and easily accessible – the one or two functions I used couldn’t be duplicated by other apps. Until this update. 

When I opened the app, I was shocked to find that all my previous customizations, colors and icons, had been replaced new, pastel colors. First of all: It’d be nice to have a choice in choosing the looks. Secondly, who on earth picked those colors? The app looks cluttered AND the clutter makes no sense. Somebody ought to go back to school and learn some design basics!

Perfect case of people messing with what used to be a perfect product. Should have created a different app instead — actually, whoever spear-headed this update should have picked a different line of work.

My previous reviews--
Update: the most recent update (March 2010) is incredible--for me, at least, it replaces a bunch of other to-do apps I've purchased. I use A-Notes to track recurring bill payments, manage to-do lists and reminders, and they seemed to have fixed issues w google sync. I love this app!

PS: It seemed to me that most of the raging negative reviews have to do w new iTouch/iPhone users--eg swipe to delete is a basic iPhone feature that these people don't seem to know.   

***Previous review
I tried out the lite version and then upgraded--and I use it often, especially for making shopping lists. This app would have been so much more useful to me if it could sync with iCal (or Google Calendar). As of now, the notes I put in this app won't show up elsewhere, so reminders, to-do lists have to be entered twice, in Awesome Notes, and in another app. I know this app is all about notes (as the name indicates), but jotting down notes isn't the point for it (with all the built in due dates picker and check marks for completed tasks), is it?
