Be aware that the displayed wire diameter is that of a single solid wire of the selected gauge so it is of no use for estimating the bundle diameter of a stranded wire of the same CSA which is what I needed for being able to drill a hole to be a close fit over ordinary stranded wires. The bundle diameter of stranded wires is always larger than the solid diameter.
