## Ayn Rand Institute Reviews in United States

### **--- "Can’t see video in the updated app"
Since the app was updated, I haven’t been able to see video. For example, in the History of Philosophy course, I used to be able to see slides but these don’t display anymore.
-- cs31415, 2025-01-10

### ***** "Love it thanks"
Awesome app!!
-- AlphaXyXy, 2022-09-03

### ***-- "Useful material, broken app"
Half the time, when you switch to another app and come back, the app does not keep your place in a course—or even recall the course you were in. This product is broken.
-- Cody Libolt, 2022-03-09

### ****- "Great app for iPhone"
But please add specialized layout for iPad 🙏
-- mjeshurun, 2021-05-31

### ***** "Pearl in the ocean"
So much noise around everywhere. This provides an opportunity to start enjoying life again.
-- Freedom96, 2020-11-27

### ***** "History of Philosophy"
I’m going through Peikoff’s History of Philosophy and it’s so fun! Really informative to see how philosophy grows and changes over time. I also enjoy the explaining of how each philosopher challenges previous ideas.
-- gDub86, 2020-11-06

### ***-- "Needs work"
At least on my iPad, there didn't seem any way to get past the intro and get to the courses.
-- David6895643, 2020-04-09

### ***-- "Great content, weak ui"
Content is great but the UI could use some work. For example, the lock screen has back/forward buttons but instead of going back/forward 30 seconds it skips to the previous/next episode. It also has difficulty keeping track of where you are in a file. This is worse when offline, even for downloaded files.
-- igilmore, 2020-01-18

### ***** "Excellent content"
I’ve used this application for some time. The content is excellent. I’ve spent many hours listening to the material, and have gone through many of the courses. The material is just fantastic, and there is really no other place to get the lectures of Ayn Rand, Leonard Peikoff, Harry Binswanger, Onkar Ghate, Tara Smith, Keith Locktich etc. It has become my go-to application for philosophical content, and I’ve found myself re-playing some of the material more than once!
But I’m having trouble with running the application. There could be some improvements in how the app remembers where you are (it seems to work sometimes, not reliably). Also, it is sometimes difficult to move the cursor to move to a particular point - which I find myself having to do because the app doesn’t know where I am in a lecture.

The real problem, that prompted this review: This week, as I was going through Leonard Peikoff’s OTI (wow), around lesson #6, I couldn’t get it to load. Now it looks like the entire course won’t load ... frustrating, since I was right in the middle of the “induction of Objectivity”. I’ve noticed that the course on “Logic” also has the same problem ... what’s going on? Other material seems to play normally.

As a last resort, I’ve deleted the application because it seemed to be using too much memory.
I will now try to reload the application and restart it.

### ***** "Priceless, ad free, life changing"
Insightful, elucidating lectures and speeches from the brightest minds in philosophy. The app isn’t perfect, and it’s currently having issues downloading and playing content, but it otherwise is a godsend.
