## AYOlingo Description
Learn Eastern Armenian the easiest way through the AYOlingo app.
No matter your proficiency in the Armenian language, AYOlingo provides an easy and free learning experience for Armenian language learners.
 
The app currently has 90 modules, with 30 more to be released in the future. The app will help you learn Armenian and teach you:
- the basics of the Armenian language
- grammatical tenses
- animal names
- common phrases
- feeling expression
-  numbers
- adjectives
- food
And much more.
 
The app also has a vocabulary section to help you look up the words in the Armenian language easier.
You can also follow your friends and see their progress in learning Armenian. Some friendly competition will, of course, help you learn more efficiently through our leaderboard.
 
The app teaches you Armenian through a variety of exercises:
• Fill in the blank in phrases
• Fill in the blank in the dialog
• Translate the phrases
• Translate the dialog
• Select the translation of the phrase
• Select the word in the picture
• Match the words
• Match the phrases
• Complete the phrases
• Practice pronunciation
• And much more...
 
There is also the option to Test Out of a module. If you feel like you're understanding a particular practice well enough, you can skip the lessons and AYOlingo will create a test for you. If you pass, then you're finished with the module! For those who want to challenge themselves, there is a Master Review. This takes the lessons in all of the modules and combines them with everything you've learned. Think of it like an Armenian language final exam.
 
The app currently doesn't teach the Armenian alphabet, but that feature will be added in the future.
This app does not include any purchasable loot boxes, in-app purchases, or paid functionalities. All features are available without any additional costs.

I love this app and have left a five star review in the past. For the past week my app has refused to open, it only shows the loading screen and the modules never come up. Please fix this! I want to get back to learning Armenian!

### **--- "Some Answers are just wrong"
Props for being one of the only free resources I’ve found to learn Armenian. Some of the English translations are completely out of order. It seems primarily in the module review sections. For instance, in one of them.
“Yes el, shnorak’alutyun”
It should be “me too thank you”, and the correct answer according to the app is “too thank me you”.

### ***-- "Difficult, as a beginner"
The first five or so units were great. It was easy for me to remember vocabulary and grammar and the units were a nice introduction to Eastern Armenian for someone like me who knows nothing. However, once I reached “Directions and Indications,” I felt like tons of vocabulary was being thrown at me at rapid speeds at the beginning of each lesson. I was then forced to put everything together and translate long, complicated sentences with words I hadn’t yet learned. I really wish the lessons spent a little more time teaching vocabulary and giving you time to practice with new words. This could be fixed by just dividing one unit into more lessons to increase the depth of each and provide an easier transition from learning to applying for beginners like me. Additionally, I agree with many other reviews in that there should be a better way to learn the alphabet. I like that it is listed in each unit, but just as there is a different section of the app that serves as a dictionary, there could be a section where users can learn how to write the alphabet and identify each letter by sound; you can take inspiration from Duolingo’s method of teaching users how to write in Arabic, Japanese, or Chinese. Finally, and of least importance, the app often takes a while to load. It would be nice if that could be improved in the future. I hope you take all my suggestions to heart, especially since I am enchanted by this language and desperate to learn it.

### **--- "App Glitches"
This app is a really great format for learning for me, very similar to Duolingo, but it is unfortunately extremely glitchy. Most notably, when I get a sentence wrong and then am given the sentence to try again, the answers that are then flagged as correct are just random arrangements of the possible words and in ways that are absolutely incorrect. And if I then arrange my answer to match the made up “new” answer, the “correct” answer changes again to another nonsensical arrangement of words. So essentially, if ever I get an answer wrong, I have to keep guessing random arrangements over and over again to possibly finish with that level—and I may never get to finish a lesson as the possible random combinations become so numerous. Please fix this. This has the potential to be an excellent way to learn Armenian, but only if the actual answers suggested are correct!!

I love that this app is free and doesn’t have ads, but it could have better quality control. Some of the fill in the blank questions are clearly wrong because the English answers seem to have randomized words. For example, I know an answer should be “where is the water” but the answer they have marked correct is “water the where is” which makes going through the lessons very difficult. it doesn’t give you heads up about sentence structure or grammar or punctuation and I don’t see an easy easy way to learn the alphabet.

I wish it would give the answer’s transliteration when correcting a mistake. It does sometimes but not for all so it is difficult to absorb and correct my mistakes.
