Babbel Reviews

The speaking part is worse than anything

Asensioza on

Denmark

It says I’m saying the speaking parts wrong, and I know I don’t say them wrong, because I have a German sitting next to me. Even the German tries and it still says it’s wrong. How on earth can you take €100+ for something that doesn’t even work properly? Get outta here!!!!!!

Super app

Nørden on

Denmark

Helt genial måde at lære sprog på, hvis man gerne vil have gramatikken med og ikke bare lære udenad.

Live is to expensive bit apart from that good app

Mutzu 1 on

Denmark

I like babbel for two reasons - no stupid gamification like duolingo - I don’t have to type a lot and I especially don’t have to type a lot in English to learn Spanish like in Duolingo. ( good if you’re not a native English speaker since it’s not possible to learn Spanish from danish) Live lessons are fascinating and a good idea but way to expensive if you don’t have time for several classes a week. I wish I could pay for them one by one- not “unlimited “

Useless if you don’t pay

Theo K. on

Denmark

I want to try the app before I pay anything. But I can only try one small lesson and learn four words, then I have to pay. That is not nearly enough features or tries to give me an impression of the app.

Great app

katrin_s_85 on

Denmark

I like this app for the grammatical explanations and the way it provides insides to the language you learn through comparison with the language you’re already speaking (for example: English vs German) The feature that I’d love to have is to learn multiple languages at the same time.

Not good for beginners

Nevø on

Denmark

I found this app rather confusing and not good if one is a beginner. It doesn’t start off with basics like greetings, numbers, vocabulary, alphabetical pronounciations, etc. I would not recommend it and I would like to get my money back.

Works great

Henrik Dyring on

Denmark

It works really great and combines talking, reading and listening in a good way

Paid to learn Portuguese, not Brazilian Portuguese…

Portuana on

Denmark

Waste of a €100 as Babbel didn’t specify it was Brazilian Portuguese and not Portuguese.. seems like a ok app though.

No Portuguese

Bollux82 on

Denmark

There’s only Brazilian Portuguese in the app and it uses completely different words and grammar from the original European Portuguese.

Good but too expensive

Anything19000 on

Denmark

I like the app have used it for a while and will continue but these price increase are tiring. Just needed to complain.
