There is no option to start learning English if you don’t know some other language from the list. For example, I’m Russian language native but there is no Russian in list. I would like to choose English interface and English language for a learn, but there is no such option either.
I love Babbel, it’s one of my favorite apps for learning languages. Recommend it to everyone. It doesn’t show you useless phrases like “are you my mother?” just to teach you grammar. It actually gives you useful content, nudges you into learning grammar and vocab that you can use right away. And as a ux person, I love how the app changes to be more and more user-oriented. When I grow app I’ll apply for a job at Babbel 😅
I’m from Kazakhstan, we can speak kazakh and russian, but there’s no option to choose these languages. A1, a2 and b1, but nothing for advanced learners. I downloaded it because of Tom Felton’s <3 advertisement, my bad 😂 the app is pretty common, nothing unique, not better than Eva or Duolingo
It’s really great app to learn some new languages! And it also would be great if you add Arabic language to learn and Russian language in “I speak” section

Can u add Russian language in “I speak “?
I’m a huge fan of learning languages. Right now I’m learning my 4th — Spanish. Babbel is the only app that works for me. I already see some progress and even can speak a little with my Spanish and Mexican friends. Also, it’s cheap comparing to individual classes. If you are looking for an app that could really help you improve your language skills — Babbel is the way to go.
I’m not good at mobile user and this app take my money(auto subscription) for 1 year! Then I wrote them, but they don’t answer for four days! Where the 20 days money back garaient? How I get my money???? It is big money I need it for really important things.
I need to be super super perfect in my prononciation so that application accepts it, but I’m not native :-) Two minutes of suffering - deleted. Work a bit more on this feature. I go back to Duolingo, the little owl accepts my imperfect french. Cheers.
