The keyword signs demonstrated in this video dictionary are based on American Sign Language (ASL). All signs have been carefully selected for their ease of use, helpfulness to carers and appropriateness for baby's interests and daily routine. Each sign has a detailed video tutorial covering information such as: simple instructions on how to perform the sign, clever tips to help you remember the sign and practical suggestions on how to introduce the sign to your baby. I started out with the lite version and loved it so much that I paid to have the full app. Not only did it help me teach my baby sign, but it’s helped me to communicate with hearing impaired people as well. In the beginning this app worked just as the lite version did— all the words appeared in the dictionary so you could find which ones you were looking for. But in the past few years that has changed— there are symbols for the words but no actual word until you click on the picture. This makes it hard to find the words you’re looking for…when the words first disappeared I thought it was just a glitch. But as I sit here now on a new phone where I downloaded the most updated version of this app, that is still the case.
