## Backbeat Timegrapher Description
Is your mechanical watch running fast? Slow? Perfectly on time?

Backbeat gives you the answer in seconds — using nothing but your iPhone's built-in microphone. No clips taped to the case. No pressing the phone against the crown. No external mic dangling off the side. Just set your watch near your phone and get professional-grade timing data in real time.

WHAT MAKES BACKBEAT DIFFERENT

Other timegrapher apps force you to press your phone directly against the watch crown or attach an external microphone to pick up the tick. Backbeat doesn't. Its audio engine is built to detect and lock onto mechanical watch ticks at a distance, filtering out ambient noise and isolating the signal — so you get clean, reliable readings without awkward setups or extra hardware.

PROFESSIONAL-GRADE METRICS

Backbeat measures the three numbers that matter:

- Rate — how many seconds per day your watch is gaining or losing
- Beat error — how symmetrical your balance wheel's swing is
- Amplitude — how far your balance wheel rotates with each oscillation

These are the same measurements a $200+ bench timegrapher gives you — right on your phone.

ZERO SETUP

Place your watch near the phone. That's it.

Backbeat automatically detects tick sounds, filters background noise, locks onto the beat, and delivers full timing metrics — all in real time. No calibration. No configuration. No learning curve.

BUILT FOR WATCH PEOPLE

Whether you're checking a vintage pickup before buying, verifying your regulation after a movement service, or just curious how your daily wearer is performing — Backbeat gives you the data you need in seconds.

Perfect for collectors, hobbyists, modders, DIY regulators, and working watchmakers alike.

WHY PAY FOR A BENCH TIMEGRAPHER?

A dedicated timing machine costs $200 or more and sits on your workbench. Backbeat goes wherever your phone goes. Quick-check a watch at a flea market. Test a fresh regulation at your desk. Compare positions before bed. No gear to pack, no equipment to maintain.
