Fans have asked for accessible and legal ways to play their original Backyard titles for years, and we are excited to deliver. Without having access to the source code, there are hard limitations on the experience we can create. Backyard Basketball ‘01 runs well and looks better than ever for iOS devices and creates a new installation for digital preservation within the Backyard Sports catalog that allows the next generation of fans to fall in love with the game. Shooting is pretty much impossible and the gameplay just doesn’t hold up. It’s free for a reason. -- TroyJMartin, 2026-04-10 ### ***** "Awesome Game!" If everyone disagrees with me then l got something to fix that . If you put it on easy mode it’s super easy! -- Taycyer, 2026-03-24 ### ***** "SO FUN" FINALLY THEY ADDED IT TO MOBILE -- 14683467755579865567, 2026-03-04 ### *---- "Waste of time" Poorly made game, downloaded it hoping they would fix the issues for the original -- Dsteves2523252, 2026-02-28 ### **--- "Too bulky on smartphone" Good intentions for a classic game, but it does not translate to playing on a phone screen well. Too much going on with too much clicking -- I don’t want one!, 2026-02-25 ### ***** "I love this game I am 8 and I love it" This is good because it’s my first backyard game -- The best game yes go, 2026-02-04 ### ***-- "Great Classic, Poor Mobile Controls" Backyard Basketball ’01 is a classic PC game and it shows in both good and bad ways. The charm, characters, and backyard atmosphere are all still here and bring back a lot of nostalgia. However, the controls on mobile are rough and clearly weren’t designed with touch screens in mind. Movement feels awkward, timing shots is inconsistent, and the virtual buttons don’t translate well from the original keyboard and mouse design. It’s fun in short bursts, but the controls can be frustrating enough to take away from the experience. If you grew up with the PC version, it’s still worth trying for nostalgia. Just don’t expect a smooth or modern mobile control experience. -- AntLaFlash, 2026-01-19 ### ***** "Amazing" My favorite of the 5 released, easily the most difficult which is what makes it so great! Playground Productions/Mega Cat Studios, I’m a YouTuber and would love to partner with you guys and make videos together or about backyard sports. @RHathletics on YouTube. -- Rylan Hurlbut, 2026-01-12 [View all Backyard Basketball '01 reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Backyard Basketball '01 Discovered Keywords - backyard basketball '01 ## Backyard Basketball '01 Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/canada) - [Mexico](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/mexico) - [Philippines](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/philippines) - [Brazil](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/brazil) - [South Korea](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/south-korea) - [Lithuania](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/lithuania) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/new-zealand) - [Bulgaria](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/bulgaria) - [Vietnam](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/vietnam) - [Colombia](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/colombia) - [Egypt](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/egypt) - [Honduras](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/honduras) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/backyard-basketball-01-Knqx/ireland) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
