## Baldur's Gate Description
This game is optimized for tablets and not recommended for phones with screen sizes under 7 inches.

Your journey begins as all great cRPG tales once did: quietly, within the walls of home, before fate tears everything open.
Forced from the safety of Candlekeep under mysterious circumstances, you’re thrust into a conflict that threatens to ignite the Sword Coast. Your world has always been limited to the fortress library’s ancient halls, where your foster father, Gorion, worked tirelessly to shield you from dangers you never understood.
All of that is about to change, setting you on the path that made Baldur’s Gate a legend.

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition brings you back to the golden age of 90s cRPGs, steeped in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Customize your hero, gather a band of memorable companions, and roam the Sword Coast in search of adventure, fortune, and long‑buried truths.

Enjoy over 75 hours of classic Baldur’s Gate gameplay, including the full original campaign, the beloved Tales of the Sword Coast expansion, and a new arena mode for those who crave a challenge.
Classic Campaign: The original Baldur’s Gate adventure, faithfully preserved
Expansion: Tales of the Sword Coast, the iconic 90s add‑on
Classic‑Style Challenges: The Black Pits, a new arena of tactical battles
Refined Difficulty Options: Story Mode for relaxed exploration; Legacy of Bhaal for veterans seeking a brutal, old‑school test
Brothers Lost: Help Rasaad yn Bashir, the Sun Soul Monk, as he scours the Cloud Peaks in search of his lost brother.

The 1998 classic returns with thoughtful refinements that make it smoother to play today while keeping its soul untouched.

The following content is available for in-app purchase:

Neera and the Red Wizards: Save the wild mage Neera from the machinations of Thay’s dreaded Red Wizards.
Path of the Bloodied: Join the blackguard Dorn Il-Khan in taking revenge against those who betrayed him in Luskan.
Gallery of Heroes: Reimagine your character with eleven new character portraits from Icewind Dale artist Jason Manley.
New voice sets to further customize your character.

## Baldur's Gate Reviews in United States

### ****- "Great game that need updating"
As good as this game is, it really needs an update for newer devices to make the resolution correct. And this probably applies to the rest of the games in this series as well
-- ghostofthenorth, 2024-12-27

### **--- "Terrible fighting mechanics"
Thought this game was going to be amazing, then I get into my first battle with a basic level 1 wolf. My character did 15 slashes and missed every single strike, and if it wasn’t for imoen, I would have died. Second wolf same story. I chose a fighter class and can’t fight apparently. If the fights are going to be this boring and take this long to kill even a basic level 1 enemy, the rest of the game seems like it’s going to be a slow slog. I’m sorry I don’t think it should take 110 strikes to defeat an enemy. Who has the time and patience for that?
-- Chill guy 143, 2024-11-21

### **--- "Runs well but I can’t see"
Everything is so small I can’t see anything. It is unplayable even when I turned the font size all the way up. It’s a shame but I will be returning this game.
-- EugeneSan1, 2024-10-13

### ***** "Controller support"

### ****- "Love the game. Please add better scaling for the UI"
This is an almost perfect port of a legendary game. The only problem is the UI. They added a scaling slider, but the UI is still too small at the max setting.
-- ET1123581321, 2024-09-14

### ***** "Still an amazing game meant to be played on a tablet."
I play on a iPad Pro with Apple Pencil, this as been an amazing experience. I’m almost finished with this and then onto part 2.
-- Psy3131, 2024-09-01

### *---- "Game does not appear to function any more"
I was unable to get through the tutorial due to various bugs. The most common was that a spell information screen would refuse to go away, thus blocking further interaction with the game until I force-quit the app. There were other issues as well, such as touch targets not registering repeatedly, and their “app support” link leading to an abandoned website.
I sought out their support forum but received no reply.
I have asked for a refund - the first time I’ve done so for any app.
-- Alexjjjj, 2024-05-26

### *---- "Unplayable on a phone"
I’ve got a 15ProMax and the game is absolutely unplayable. Everything is too small to see, maybe it would be OK on an iPad.
-- Kier42, 2024-04-07

### *---- "Not appropriate for a phone"
Brilliant game, really not appropriate for a phone. Tiny text, tiny buttons and no option to change that. There’s quite a few reviews stating the opposite and they steered me wrong. Perhaps the iPad experience is better but I could tell within seconds that this is not a game to be played on the phone.
-- Sparkstar3, 2024-03-18

### *---- "No audio"
Bugged on latest iPad iOS. No sound.
