Buy and use on all your iOS devices. All material is based on the Vaganova Syllabus. Prerequisites: The prerequisites I propose is general and depends of course on how many times a week your students practice ballet, their age and what prior knowledge they have. Beginner: up to about 2 years of prior knowledge Intermediate: at least 2 years prior knowledge Advanced: at least 5 years of prior knowledge Lessons and exercises: The courses a, b and c are based on each other and should be used in that order. For example: you start with Beginner Lesson 1a, continue with 1b and finish with 1c, before moving on to Beginner Lesson 2a, b and c. Each lesson consists of exercises for a whole lesson, 9-10 bar exercises and 9-12 floor and diagonal exercises. You can also buy separate exercises. These exercises are not part of any lesson. One free sample exercise is included: Intermediate Au milieu Adagio (4/4 beat) All exercises are unique, i.e you will not find two similar exercises in any part of the material. ## Ballet Teacher Companion Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple71/v4/7f/88/df/7f88dff1-9c85-6492-11b2-b8026c5af6b6/pr_source.png/2048x2732.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple71/v4/50/87/36/508736d8-2e99-2e18-3f37-1a809792a6dc/pr_source.png/2048x2732.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple71/v4/c5/88/71/c5887115-2b0c-d9ad-df5b-619320975752/pr_source.png/2048x2732.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple71/v4/64/14/a1/6414a178-c52e-d927-5c67-11ef1ea83189/pr_source.png/2048x2732.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple71/v4/7f/50/b4/7f50b4a0-601d-190a-7033-4151a6efb752/pr_source.png/2048x2732.png) ## Ballet Teacher Companion Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 0 (0%) - 4 stars: 1 (11%) - 3 stars: 1 (11%) - 2 stars: 2 (22%) - 1 stars: 5 (56%) ## Ballet Teacher Companion Reviews in United States ### **--- "Time consuming" Would have been way more easy if you just put videos instead of large lists -- Eponine15, 2023-06-30 ### *---- "Bad😡☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️" Even though the app itself is free you have to buy literally almost everything. -- classdog22, 2018-06-07 ### *---- "DON't WASTE YOUR TIME!!" Unless you just want to pay 24.00$ for a lesson don't get this disappointing app btw I give this a zero stars!!😡😡 -- Reviewewew, 2017-03-13 ### *---- "Very misleading" Despite the app being free, almost all the content is purchase-only. -- LetsDanceYall, 2017-02-16 ### **--- "Don't waste your money" The name "Ballet Teacher Companion" for this app, is vague and misleading. As an ex-pro and now scholar/pedagogue, this app site pleads the questions, What method within which cultural aesthetic, what curricula, what lesson plan? Is it Vaganova? Bournonville? French? Balanchine, one of the English methods? Cecchetti? Or The usual: a mish-mash of ideas from uneducated ballet masters who -think- they understand ballet simply because they were dancers and memorized ballets and ballet steps -quite often- with the wrong reference and name? Well, I've dowloaded the app, and it is...yep,as far as I can tell, it's a miss mash of techniques very vaguely based upon Vaganova, some French and the usual badly interpreted Cecchetti references. In the sample adagio it states, "Chassé devant". Well, Cecchetti introduced this "step" when he was modernizing balelt teachnique away from the classical ideal and towards the new modernism the Ballet Russe was introducing over a century ago, when he became ballet master there: it isn't classical and should -never- betaught in a clasical ballet lesson. Period. But, as we all know, sadly, it's taught (rather "given") everywhere. ... However, I can't tell you much more than that: the lessons are available by purchase well above the $50 mark. How are we to know what they are and are any good? By the sample intermediate adagio as a guide, there is -no way- I will risk my money as such! this is unwise and a big mistake in marketing. The fact is, there are quite a few of these all over the appstore. I haven't found one that is sound in curricular basis, methodological reasoning or ability to function for students. This last part is most important. Few books and canned lesson plans can be translated onto students, even if they don't (for example) inaccurately use the term "coupe" in stead of sur le cou de pied". (which is so obscenely common, I get a headache whenever I hear yet another mediocre teacher use it.) Here's the problem: a series of classes from one pedagogue or one individual cultural and methodological source can and will not served the vast majority of dancers at any given time. So, with this caveat, if you're a pro or ex pro who hasn't dedicated the miniumum of 4 years or so to advanced study of specificity of pedagoical system, download it. Its likely not going to be any worse that what you're already teaching, and might actually help....a little. But, iPad apps and canned syllabae do not a lesson make, an -- Prosemo, 2016-12-27 ### ****- "Bad" Have to buy almost everything -- Stbdygjgjgjgk, 2016-12-09 [View all Ballet Teacher Companion reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Ballet Teacher Companion In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Intermediate Lesson 1a | $11.99 | | Beginner Lesson 1b | $7.99 | | Beginner Le Barre Plié 1 | $1.99 | | Beginner Lesson 1c | $7.99 | | Intermediate Lesson 1b | $11.99 | | Beginner Le Barre Battement tendu 1st position 1 | $1.99 | | Beginner Au Milieu Petite adagio 1 | $1.99 | | Advanced Lesson 1a | $11.99 | | Intermediate Le Barre Placement exercise 1 | $1.99 | ## Apps Similar to Ballet Teacher Companion -
